Looking for Home-based Work

I am due to have my first child in April and am already dreading having to go back to work when the baby's born. Does anyone have any suggestions on any home-based work? I'll try to stay open minded, but I'm really not wanting any marketing, or pyramid strategies. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi. A really good website that I found is www.wahm.com (work at home moms)they list legite companies that you can work from home for. I do some contract work for a telesales company that I found off of that website.
I also work a home based MLM job, too. Its really pretty fun. I am a Independent Travel Agent w/ K&E Travel. My website is www.globalparadisetravel.com if you want to take a look.

Hi!

If you have any medical terminology background you could look into medical billing or transcriptionist. I am researching about these two functions and find that it is lucrative!

I also had a friend that did telephonic returns for a company. She worked about 4-6 hours a day.

Good Luck!

S.,
I'm not sure if this is available to you in the area that you are in but there is a company called Housewarmers. It's a franchise that is fairly new and they are looking for people in certain locations. It is a welcoming service. You can get more information on their website: http://www.housewarmerscorp.com/.
Hope this helps.

Hi... I am a single mother of a 13 month old and needed some extra money. Two months ago I saw an opportunity to make money without taking time away from my son and I am having a blast doing it. I can be very skeptical and so I actually flew out to California to check out the company... I loved them, loved the wines... loved the whole concept... so far everyone loves it. Basically what I do is sample incredible limited-production wines and throw parties (wine tastings) for a living. As I said, I am new at this... but so far I love it! I am getting ready to build my first level team and looking for a strong, fun group of women... if it is something you might be interested you can reach me on my cel ###-###-#### or check out my website at: www.ExclusiveWineTastings.com What ever you decide I wish you luck in your search!

Hi S.,

You should consider doing floral designs or become a home based floral arranger. When I got married, I used a florest who was based out of her home. With the upcoming wedding season, you could make a fortune. I think you just need a tax id from your local tax office. Then you can buy your supplies at wholesales prices. I spent $1,500 on my flowers for my wedding. I know it didn't cost that much in supplies. The best home based business utilizes the skills and knowledge you already have. Good luck with the business and the baby!

I am an artist and didn't want to go back to work either. So I utilized my talent and started my own business doing murals and stork deliveries. I just got a DBA for $9 at the courthouse and registered my business to get a tax id (which is free). It was really easy and I am doing something that I love while still staying home with my boys. It gives me that creative outlet that I was missing since quitting my job. Good luck and if I can help answer any questions I would love to!

Hi S.,
Congrats on your baby to be! I wanted to respond to your email and give you just a little info on my home based business. First of all, I don't blame you one bit. I worked corporate for 10 years and had a baby in March, so I decided to not go back to work. I had already started my business part time, but it was already doing well, so I pursued it full time. I'm making about $2000 per month, and it grows monthly. Very soon I will be making $6,000-$10,000 per month, and it will continue to increase. I work 10-15 hrs a week. My sales have increased 800% since June.
I am an independent consultant with Arbonne International. You said you weren't interested in Pyramids, and that is a good thing that you're not. They are actually illegal! Arbonne is a multi level marketing company, but that is a good thing. You receive residual income on everyone's sales in your downline.
Arbonne is booming!! We're a 25 year old company, that in the last 4 years has shown unbelievable growth. The reason for that is the Health and Wellness industry itself is booming. People want a safe, natural product that works. Arbonne is it! We grew 150% just in 2005.
If this has piqued your curiousity at all, i'd love to give you more information. What do you have to lose?

Sincerely,

J. C.
