I've been in Palm bay for one year. I work 2 nights a week, and the rest of the week I struggle to find something to do with my 17 month old. I would love to join a playgroup and meet more moms. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need to get out of the house!

What can I do next?

There is a Gymboree in on Wickham north of Eau Gallie. My daughter and I enjoy the classes there. There is also a Mommy and Me class at the Palm Bay Community Center. There is a magazine Space Coast Parent that is free that lists play groups etc.

Hi

I ran a mommy and me program for 8 years while my daughter was growing up to earn some income and still stay with my daughter. I orginated the Mommy and me concept in this area. I originated the classes at the Palm bay Community Center and held them there every week also I had them in Eau gallie Beachside and at Books a Million. I enjoyed running the classes meeting new moms and new friends, my daughter is a teenager now but I always run into my Mommy and Me moms all over.

I would love to get a mommy and me group going. I feel the same as you. I'm 27 years old and have a 2 1/2 year old and an 11 month old. I love staying home with my kids, but I feel like they're getting tired of playing with each other and me all day, everyday. I think social interaction for the kids and parents can be useful for everyone.

Hi A.,
I belong to a playgroup that has been together for three years, there's about five of us that are active in the playgroup. We are always looking for mothers' to join our group. The age ranges from 4 to the youngest right now being 11 months old. Of course older children are welcome, it just happens to be in this age range right now. If you or anyone is interested in joining, let me know. Feel free to contact my home number at ###-###-####.
