Hi I have a 3 year old boy who weighs about 33 pounds. I would like to buy him a new car booster seat that is more for a big kid. I still want it to have a harness and all the safety features a car seat should have but I want it to be able to grow with him as he gets older. Does anyone have a seat that they love that wont break the bank? Also need to buy him new big kid furniture. Has anyone used Bob's discount furniture for their child?
Thanks alot,
L. R.

My kids were both big before their years & I loved the Britax car seats. My daughter used her's until she was closer to 5 & I could feel comfortable with her in the seat belt adjusting booster seats.

good luck

I haven't used Bob's for children's furniture, but I have used them in the past for other things. The furniture is just as good as anywhere else, and the salespeople are great. We have a really nice dining room set that we get compliments on all the time! I will definitely look at Bob's when my daughter needs new furniture!

I have a Graco Nautilus for my (now) 4 year old son, and I love it. It has the five point harness that works til 65 lbs., and then it "converts" to a regular booster seat (with a back) using the seat belt.

I also have a Compass booster for my older son. That, too, is a good booster, but uses the seat belt strap only. (My older son was bigger when we moved out of the convertible seat, so he got that booster instead.)

I have both the one Graco Nautilus (harness till 65, booster till 100 lbs) and the two of the First Years Tru Fit (infant rear facing then forward to 60lbs harnessed). My son is almost 4.5 and still just under 40lbs. I bought both for different reasons. He loves both of them. The graco will last much longer because it does convert later to a seatbelted high back booster and a backless booster. I am going to buy another and switch my little guy to the tru fits.

Also, we bought a really cute bedroom set for him from Bob's about 9 months ago with a full size bed, tall dresser and dresser/mirror for like $500 with taxes and delivered/set up. (I bought his mattress from sleepy's when they were having a major sale). It is not babyish, should last for a while but was cheap enough where if he does ruin something, I won't get too upset. It also has a warranty where they will fix/replace anything if needed which I have to call because I actually just broke one of the dresser drawers-I had overstuffed it with sweatshirts jamming it shut and broke it opening it!

Graco Nautilus here, too! Almost went with the Britax Frontier, but the Nautilus is so much more versatile, and is a much friendlier price, too! Good luck!

We have a Graco Nautilus and an Alpha Omega (one in each car). Both are good but I think the Nautilus has a higher size limit in the harness.

I have the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 for my almost 3 year old and I am very happy with it! It's pretty reasonably priced, too. I got mine at walmart.com for $150.00 and they shipped it to my house for 97 cents. (I saw it in the stores, including Walmart for $179.00) It's easy to use and my son LOVES the cupholder. He is still in the 5 point harness, but it will convert to a high-back booster and then a backless booster. So, I can't comment on the booster functions yet, but so far I like it! He seems very comfortable in it. (I also looked at the Britax (Frontier, I think?) since I love the Marathon, but I just coudn't see spending more than $100 more than the Graco.)

Sunshine Kids has one that goes up to 65lbs and one that goes up to 85lbs. I think they're about $250. Good luck.
