Jeannie Casey is an excellent Doula. She helped me to deliver my son and it was awesome to work with her. Find her online at Nashville Childbirth - website http://www.nashvillechildbirth.com/

I will be moving to Spring Hill in the next few months am looking for some recommendations on an Obstetrician and some advice on where to deliver. Does anyone have a great midwife or Doula to recommend. Any and all information would be super helpful as I am new to Tennessee.

Welcome to the Hill, that's what I call Spring Hill. I delievered my daughter with Mary Anne Richardson. She is a midwife. Her website is www.Tender-Beginnings.com. She and her staff are excellent. Her phone # ###-###-####.
My Ob/gyn was Kim Scott with the Womens Group of Franklin. I absolutely loved her, as well as the rest of the staff. I delivered at Williamson Medical Center- their birthing (LDRP) rooms are brand new remodeled and wonderful and I loved the nurses, which are responsible for most of your hospital experience. The ob offices are located in a wing of the hospital which was handy when I had to be admitted quickly. I can't think of anything negative about either my dr's or the hospital- it was all wonderful. I'm not sure why Daphne says not to use Williamson.
I haven't used a doula or midwife but I have heard great things about the Midwives of Vanderbilt- I believe that is their practice name. You get the midwife experience with the top-notch care of Vanderbilt behind them, but Vanderbilt is kinda far from Spring Hill for me. I have met the doula Mickey Jones at ninemonthsandbeyond.com and she was very nice. I really liked her, and she is in Spring Hill. Hope all this helps.
I would recommend going to Middle Tennessee Women's Group. Thier main office is in Columbia, TN, but they see patient in thier Spring hill offuice on certain days. Thier # is to the columbia office:###-###-####Please, whatever you do, don't go to Williamson womens group, unless of course you want an extremely medical birth. Do not go to Williamson hospital if you can help at all.
Get on with the yahoo group Nashville Birth Network and thres some good advice there for birthing options. Nine Months and Beyond is a good contact as well. www.ninemonthsandbeyond.com
Good luck!
