I would suggest you look at Dr. Patricia Scott. She is with Delaware Pediatrices. Her office is on Foulk Road - near the library. Her partner Dr. Gothhold is also amazing. I have been there 6 years now. I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. The staff is amazing. They follow up; they are knowledgeable; and they treat you with respect.
Good Luck!

Hey L.!!

I take my two girls to Dr. Karen Kelly on Limestone Road. She is absolutely fantastic and the kids adore her! There is one other doctor in the practice who is also wonderful and her name is Rebecca Grinarml (aka Dr. Becky!). So, if you are still looking, you might want to add this one to your list. I have had zero problems with them. I always get in on the same day I call if the kids are sick and never have to sit in the waiting room which is very important to me! Good luck to you and your new baby!

The phone number for Dr. Kelly and Dr. Grinarml is ###-###-####.

Again, good luck!

In general I've heard that the Kids First network is very good. They're affiliated with CHOP. I'm not sure if there's one close enough to you, but we go to the one in Hockessin and see Dr. Oliveri. I'm very pleased with his attention to both my 2 yr old boy and 4 mn old girl.

Delaware Pediatrics! I use their Townsend office and have been soooo happy. Dr. Gotthold is highly recommended in the Wilmington office. I started using them based on rave reviews from other moms of the Wilmington Birth Center. Congratulations and best of luck with your search!

I have to agree that Brandywine Pediatrics is great. We have been going to Dr. DiSanto for 12 soon to be 13 years and we really love him. He has been open to our declining certain vaccines. He talks to us about it and lets us make the decision and never gives us a hard time. Always asks how we are when we visit for our yearly checks and is always personable and open to any questions we have. His wife is the lactation consultant and was very helpful when we started nursing our first. I can't say enough about their office.

I take my 3, soon to be 4, children to Brandywine Pediatrics. My pediatrician is Dr. Eng and he's excellent. The whole practice is great! Since you are pregnant, they also have a lactation specialis on staff that is sooooooo convenient and she's awesome too! There was a previous post that recommended another doctor from the same practice. They are located off of Silverside Rd. Not only are the docs great but in 7 years of going to this practice, I've NEVER had to wait in the waiting area more than 5-10 minutes TOPS. I usually have to wait that long if it was a last minute sick visit. You'll find it to be important not to have to wait forever when you have a child/children in tow. Good luck!

I go with my kids to Dr Joseph DiSanto. Hopefully he accepts new patients. He is a great doctor. At their office, there are more doctors, so maybe, if he doesn't accept anymore patients, maybe another one does. Good luck!

I have a six week old and have been really happy with Brandywine Pediatrics off of Silverside Rd. I see Dr. Gould, but everyone seems great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I have had to wait a bit in the waiting room, but I can't imagine a ped office where you don't.

I have to agree that Brandywine Pediatrics is THE BEST! They are all really fantastic there. I take my 8mo old to Dr. Gould too and he is great. We’ve also seen Dr. Eng, Dr. Harvey and Dr. Disanto (on the weekends or when Dr. Gould was out) and they are all really fantastic. Dr.Disanto was on the Top Docs list last year in Delaware Today (his picture was actually on the cover). I know for sure that Dr. Gould is taking new newborn patients because I asked recently for a friend.

Also, to back up what someone else said, they have a fantastic lactation consultant in the office. She is actually Dr.Disanto’s wife. She was really a god-send for me. I never could have gone as far as i did with breastfeeding without her help. The best part is that they bill the lactation consultant visits like a regular office visit, so even if your insurance doesn’t cover lactation consultant visits, your visits to her will still be covered.

Brandywine Pediatrics is the way to go! Someone on Mamasource told me about Dr. Gould when I was expecting, so I’m happy to pass the great recommendation along!

Send me a message if you need the phone number! Good luck!

I take my kids to Brandywine Pediatrics. They are great. When I was pregnant, I called the office to set up an appointment to meet the doctors. They were very friendly. We go to Dr. Simonetti and Dr. Irwin. They are both young moms and my kids love them.

I know that I am very happy with Dr. Robert Olivieri at Kids First in Hockessin on Yorklyn Road. I moved to Wilmington when my son was two and had to find a pediatrician and heard from many people that they were happy with ALL the doctors at this practice. I have since had another child and have been very happy with her care during her first year of life.
