Mother's Day Out Programs and Play Groups - Jennifer C

I am curious if anyone is aware of any inexpensive, quality as well as safe Mother's Day Out Programs and/or Play Groups in the Cedar Park area. I am considering organizing my own play group in Cedar Park if anyone is interested.

What can I do next?

I used to take my son to a playgroup through the Leander Independent School system. At the time it was called Parent Connection and I believe the name is the same. They meet in a portable off of West Street in the area near Crystal Falls Parkway and 183. The ladies who run the playgroup are teachers so the kids get to play and interact, but the parents also receive information on how to teach their children at home to prepare for kindergarten.

WE belong to a great Mom's Group through Meetup.com. Ours is the Austin Group for Stay at Home Moms with babies born in 2005-2007. Also, we have joined the Mom's Club in our area.

Our church, Bethany United Methodist on Anderson Mill offers a nice Mom's Day Out Program

I haven't looked into Mother's Day Out Programs, but there are lots of play groups out there! Check meetup.com. There is a Cedar Park moms group, some Cedar Park/Leander moms groups, and even some moms groups that are specific to some of the subdivisions in Cedar Park. Also, spend some time at the Cedar Park library. I love their storytimes, although I do like the lapsit storytime most, and it is hard to do with two children. The Leander library also does a storytime that we enjoyed, but we have only been to theirs once. Also, check out Cedar Park's website. Tomorrow, (3/28) there is a big festival at Milburn Park and it will be family oriented. Some of the local businesses like Soccer Zone, Zero Gravity Gymnastics, Capital Gymnastics, Inflatable Wonderland, etc. often have things available low-cost or for free at various times. These are great places to meet other moms, although I do know how difficult it can be to become friends with other families, but once I realized that we are all looking for other moms to talk to, it became much easier! Good luck!

It's not mothers day out but you might check the internet for MOPS groups. MOPS is Mothers of PreSchoolers and is a great programs for moms to have wonderful childcare for their preschoolers while they have a relaxing time with other moms. I know two groups meet at Grace Covenant Church at 183 and 360. Best wishes.

I 'm not sure if you found out MDO yet? but I just signed up for my child after a long searching and we finally found one that we like so much. It's on 2001 W.New Hope Rd and the website www.cedarparkkdo.org
Just copy and past the link, then will show you everything.
The director ALYSON, she's very nice and wonderful.

We're going to send our kid next week. Progams are better than others we've been checked out around.
Just tell Ms. Alyson that Jacquelyn send. Good luck to you.
