Looking for Preschool in Alamo, Walnut Creek, or Danville

My daughter is turning 3 in August and I need to get her enrolled in preschool. I have waited too long and now feel rushed! I am looking for a resonably priced preschool in my area. Everything I have found that is reasonable is a Co-op, which I am not sure I want to do because of the commitment (I also have a 10 month old and I teach elementary school part-time). Does anyone know a preschool that they LOVE (either co-op or a good priced non-co-op) in either Alamo, Danville, Walnut Creek, or Lafayette?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thanks!

Garden School in Danville is fantastic and it is very reasonable. They morning and afternoon classes and they are a montesorri school but with traditional preschool intermixed in the day (circle time, etc). It is not a co-op and the classes are small. The teachers are fantastic and the woman who owns is very involved. She has owned it for 30 years. It is located in a small house on the west side of Danville. The house is solely used for preschool and nothing else. www.gardenschool.net.

My daughter goes to Meadowlark Children's Center in Alamo. For 3 year olds, the program is Tuesday/Thursday. It is sooooo wonderful there. It is a developmental preschool. Check it out. I know they need girls for their 3 year old class for next year. Right now, tuition is $345, for 2 mornings, 9a-12noon. There is an optional lunch hour that they can stay for, until 1pm, for an additional small fee.

My son went to Trinity Lutheran Preschool in Walnut Creek. We loved it. They have reasonable prices and loving teachers. My son is now in kindergarten and still talks about the teacheres and wants to go visit.

We have had a great experience at CPP in Danville. I found the tuition to be less than other schools in the area and I love the low student teacher ratio. The 3 year old program is on T/R and goes from 8:45-11:15.

We loved MaryJane's Preschool on the Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill border. They offer either 2 or 3 day 1/2 day programs - you choose morning or afternoon. If you want something full time, my daughter also liked Alice's Montessori School.

Check out Fountainhead Montessori - I went there as a child and now am enrolling my daughter 25 years later. They have 5 locations and the tuition differs between all of them slightly but if its in your price range they are definitely worth checking out.

We had a great experience at Garden Montessori School on the west side of Danville, near San Ramon Valley High School. It's a rich learning environment with many interesting activities for the children to get involved in. But it's not just a free-for-all either; plenty of structured activites, age-appropriate resposibilities for the kids, and learning in a world-view sense for those kids who like that. The teachers are great; well-educated in early childhood eduction and the Montessori way, caring, calm. They really promote the child's independence and natural curiousity and offer activities that are just right for each child and find ways to encourage further exploration with an activity (extending the learning) when appropriate. I don't know what their current tuition is, but it was one of the best values around when my son attended a few years back. I can't say enough good things about Garden! Good luck!
