We have loved Harmony Hill Preschool on Doublecreek. It has 2, 3, and 5 day a week programs 9-1.
We are relocating to the Round Rock area and I need a preschol for my 3 1/2 year old. He had a wonderful preschool this year that was 2 days a week and only in the afternoons. I need a school with loving teachers where he can have fun and learn!

My son went to St. Philips' preschool at St. Philips UMC on Great Oaks in the Brushy Creek area. We liked it very much and eventually joined the church. We were pretty far down the wait list but still managed to get in.
Also my son currently attends Round Rock Christian school, they have preschool there that quiet a few of the kids have attended; they seem to have a very good reputation. It is located at Central Baptist Church (next to Round Rock High School). HTH

I love St. Richards Episcopal Preschool. I have taken my 2 daughters there and will take my son, when he's of age. Great teachers and a great curriculum. It may be tough to get in, since it is pretty small as well, but can't hurt to try, call quick. Good Luck!
My children went to Council Oak Preschool at First United Methodist Church in RR. Outstanding program. I could not have been happier and they were both very well prepared for kindergarten. I have other friends who have been to King of Kings and St. Phillips UMC. I don't know about these programs specifically but they like them a lot as well.
Not really in Round Rock but it was worth the drive...My son went to the mother's day out at the Methodist Church on Duval Street. The teachers were great and he was more than ready for Kinder when he left. He went three days a week and one of those days they offered a cooking class for the older kids so he stayed a little longer to do that. Also learned some really wonderful Bible songs and did plays for the parents once in a while. They also have a summer school for a week during the summer.

We heard great things about Council Oaks, but couldn't even get on the wait list it was so long, and looked at a whole bunch of great schools that were way over our budget. If your budget is large, there are some amazing schools on farms and the such. I've heard great things about St Philips, but when we visited it was open playtime and there were about 4 children sitting on the teachers lap (or trying to) while she baby talked them and the other children were off doing their own thing. They also didn't welcome parents during the day. We ended up at Harmony Hill because they were priced right and had an open door policy which allows myself and 1 year old to come and observe/participate whenever we want. The class was also structured nicely and stimulating. We were happy there and my daughter is going back next year.
I really recommend you spend a few days just visiting the different programs to see which you like. It can also depend on the particular teacher. Different strokes for different folks.
Try either Stepping Stones or St. Philips' United Methodist Church.
