A.G.
Both of my sons went to Walnut Creek Private School. One went for 2 years of pre-K and also for Kindergarten, and I believe it gave him an amazing academic foundation. I know that may sound crazy for such a young age, but he learned so much there, and it was fun. He's going into 8th grade now, in all pre-AP classes making all As, and I really think some of that is because of his early learning at Walnut Creek. Our youngest went there for one year of pre-K only, and also had a wonderful experience. I wish we had kept him there longer. He went to public kindergarten, and the experience was not nearly as beneficial. One thing about Walnut Creek that really impresses me is that the same teachers that were there when my oldest was there 10 years ago are still there today. They have very little turnover.
Both boys went to Willie Brown Elementary, as well. It is an excellent school. The teachers are wonderful for the most part. I am an AP English teacher, and I can be quite critical of teachers, but I am incredibly appreciative of quality teaching, also. I loved all but one of the teachers my children have had at Willie Brown. I have heard good things about Boren, too.
My oldest has gone to Mary Orr and Worely and had excellent experiences there, too.
Good luck with your decision, and welcome to Mansfield!
