Hi Mommies and Daddies, I am hoping you may have some informaiton I can use. I am looking to find a private swim instructor in Scottadale. One who can come to your home to teach. We are moving in June to a home that has a pool. My son is 2 1/2 and loves water. He is not afraid of much and I am very concerned we get him lessons asap. We are hoping for a safe summer.
Any Help you can give me would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

I know Aqua-Tots has private instructors that come to your home. Visit www.aquatots.com to find the nearest location.

I have a gal that came to my house and was amazing!!! She was recommended to me by a friend who has used her for years for 4 of her children. I used her and was so happy with her I recommended her to other friends. Her name is Allison and her number is ###-###-####. She was able to teach my son at 4 to swim within a couple of sessions and he was terrified of the water! She taught my neighbor's 2 1/2 year old to swim across the pool unassisted in one session!

I know you said "to your home" but, I used ISR (Infant Swim Resources) for both my children. They are one on one lessons M-F...approx. 10 min./day for about 6 weeks. IT IS SO WORTH IT!! Both my children have been SWIMMING since they were 2 (and one was younger!). Every time we go to a "public" place or a friend's to swim people are amazed at my 3 year old and how confident he is in the water and swims to the bottom of the pool!! The lessons are priceless! Life saving! We used to live in the East valley and took our lessons there, but, you can go to the website and find instructors in Scottsdale. (They teach in their own pools). Good luck!!!

Hi C.,

I used ISR (Infant Swim Resource). They don't come to your home but the lessons are one on one are are so worth it. My daughter has been in the program since she was 22 months - she is now 4 1/2 and can swim the length of the pool, float, jump in and continue swimming etc. Her first two years in the program she did six weeks each summer - last year and this year were simply refresher courses to remind her of her skills and only lasted for a week.

The program is fantastic - it is more of a survival swim skills program vs "swimming" lessons - kids need to know what to do if they fall in a pool and this program teaches that - it is so necessary in AZ since almost every home has a pool or there is a pool nearby.

Just log onto the website. You can input your zip code and it will give you a listing of instructors in your area.

Again, the program is top notch and I recommend it to everyone that has kids.

Good luck

L.

I'm not sure if you're still searching for a swim instructor, but I have been teaching privately in the valley for the past 7yrs. I recently became a mommy in november and just gave him his first lesson today in fact! Please feel free to read my profile and contact me if you're still interested. -M.

I don't have anyone, but I am looking for someone as well. Can you keep me in the loop if you find someone good? I have a few people that are supposed to be emailing info to me, so I will send it along if worthy. Thanks!

A.
