Check out OB/GYN associates, they have a group of midwives and a back up doctor or two. Kaydon Lusty, CNM was my midwife for two pregnancies and she was great! I miss seeing her.

I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm so excited! I'm looking for a great SLC midwife, either homebirth, birthing center, or delivers at St. Mark's Hospital. Any recommendations?

I second Danielle Demeter-- she is a wonderful, kind, talented woman and I send people to her in Park City quite frequently.
I also recommend Kaydon Lusty. She is fantastic. She is warm, caring, open, honest, and you never feel rushed. She is almost motherly, but with out the bossy-ness and guilt:) If you have a midwife and experience complications you will be taken care of by one of the doctors they work with. I am familiar with both the MDs in the office, and I can say that Dr. Watts is my favorite OB of all time. (He delivered my first child, Kaydon the second.) Good Luck!
At St. Mark's hospital you could have the fabulous Danielle Demeter, she is the best! ###-###-#### She has an office in Park City and SL, I only have the PC number.
At the birth center in Holladay you would likely see Becky McGinnis, who is an absolutely brilliant midwife. The birth center fills up fast so if you want to go that route, call soon... ###-###-####
There are so many awesome home birth midwives it is hard to recommend just one. I'm biased towards Jules Johnstun because I work with her ###-###-####, she really nurtures her clients. Others I can highly recommend:
Melissa Mayo - ###-###-####
Suzanne Smith - ###-###-#### (she has an Orem and SL office, I only have the Orem number)
Heather Johnston - 655-baby
Interview them all and find one that you really love!
Rebecca Williams with Holladay Women's Health care. She owns her own birth center now. I delivered my first at a birth center with her and my second at home. I love her so much. She'll make your birthing experiance a wonderful one. Here's here website. www.greatexpectationsbc.com I can't say enough wonderful things about her. Congrats and good luck.
Kaydon Lusty is amazing!!! Her office is right across the street from St. Marks Hospital. You can call her office at ###-###-####. I have been with her since 1997. She has delivered 4 of my kids, and has been like a dear friend to me. She's honest and willing to answer every question. I have never felt rushed when in an appointment with her. Her nurse Becky is a joy to have there too. You can't go wrong with any of the midwifes in her office, but Kaydon really is the best!!!!!!
You should contact Millcreek Womens Center. It is located in St Marks. It is a team of OBGYNs but they have 2 midwifes there as well. They are wonderful. I am drawing a blank at their names but they are both really good. I would check them out.
