Hi - I moved to Haltom City this summer. The thing is that I really miss the lady who did my hair in Austin. She was in my church and she had a salon in her home and she would cut, wash, and highlight my long hair for $45!!! This would normally cost me over $100. So before I moved I went back to one color, however, I hate it and so does my husband. So this trip back to Austin, I went back to her and went back to highlights. So now I need to find someone who can do a good job on my hair for a pretty cheap price. Anybody have any recommendations? I mean I love to visit my parents, but being a teacher I don't know if I came make it down there every 2-3 months and drive 3 1/2 hours to have my hair done. Please help!!

I see Tamisha at Hightower Salons in North Richland Hills (on Hightower and Rufe Snow). I think she charges me $50 or $55 for a cut and a highlight and I absolutely love my hair. She does an awesome job and is very affordable. Plus she can always fit me in whenever I call. I don't have to make an appt weeks in advance. I definitely recommend her. Good luck!
I get my hair highlighted at Hair Plex in Saginaw which is close to Haltom City. It's very reasonable...I have shoulder length hair and for highlights, cut & style I pay $50. My 2 co-workers that live in Hurst have started going to HairPlex also. We use Shelly but anyone there is good...###-###-####

$45 is pretty much unheard of around here for cut AND color! You might want to consider going to one of the beauty schools. You would not always have the same person, but they are pretty well supervised and the price would be right.
My sister does hair and can do it from her home or yours. She charges $60 or $65 for high lights. If you are interested let me know and I will give her your number.
