I am new to the area and looking for playgroup activites for my two toddlers (11 mos and 26 mos). We live in South Holladay, but I am willing to drive a distance for a fun activity. Any suggestions for play activity are welcomed.

Hi,

I live in Salt Lake City and last year I joined the MOMS club of Salt Lake. I was able to join a playgroup with children the same approximate age. The Mom's trade off hosting the playgroups once weekly in our homes. In the warmer months we can decide to meet at a local park instead. They also offer feild trips, park play days, mom's night out activities, ect. My children are 6 mo and 22mo. The playgroups have been great this winter. Since you live in South Hollady, there is a Murray/Holladay chapter. Here is the website: http://murraymomsclub.50megs.com/

My older son used to love Gymboree Play
Center(Highland and 48th-ish South) It is alot of fun. They have a discount for siblings.

Have fun!
J.

There's a playgroup that meets at St. Thomas Moore church on Danish Road (about 3000 East) and Creek Road (about 8000 South). It meets Mondays at 9:30 am. You don't have to be Catholic to participate and the kids just run around and play.

Many of the SLC area libraries offer toddler and/or preschool storytimes at various times during the week. Also, check Barnes and Noble.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers www.mops.org) is a great program to interact with other moms and kids play together while their moms get a break! I have also heard of Mothers and More and the Mom's Club of Salt Lake, they have play groups as well as just mom activities, from what I understand. Check online for more info.
Good luck!
