I'm scouting for three peaceful and private safe feeling park locations with easy access and parking in SF and the East Bay to teach a weekey mom and kids class. Also, I'm wondering what might be best times of day and week as well. Any great locations and other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, L.

lake temescal in montclair! its beautiful there, and there are fields, trails, and even swimming
lafayette creek side park is very quiet and peaceful. I would be interested in your classes please let me know. ____@____.com
How about Cesar Chavez Park in the Berkeley Marina? I used to take a Baby Boot Camp class there & it was the perfect location for that sort of thing. If you're looking for a spot for a quiet class like yoga there's always Tilden Park. All of their picnic areas are pretty quiet & not often used during the school year months. You'd hav to check for availability once summer camps start.
Alameda has a couple of very peacful parks. Franklin Park is small and easy access and parking on the street. The other larger and very pretty park is Lincoln Park located off of High Street.
In Fremont there is the park in Niles. Has parking lot and many trees, small children's play area.
Hi L.,
The east bay is a very large area so I don't know how much help I am. =) My first thoughts are Kennedy Grove in El Sobrante & Victoria Park in Hercules.
Hi L.,
As a new mommy, I have been on the hunt for a good park, so I know of a few. The Children's Playground at GG Park in SF has a parking lot inside the park and is pretty available on the weekdays. It's such a great place for kids of all ages, from infant and up. It has baby swings and the rubber floor which is great for new walkers. And this super high slide that ppl bring tarps to slide on. I can't wait til my baby gets old enough to slide on it with me.
Duboce Park is great with parking even on the busiest, sunniest weekends. It is an official dog park but dogs have designated places to poop. Just watch out for the spots. The Muni train rolls right by and is great for kids who get excited about trains. Mostly sunny there too. This place also has the rubber floor and baby swings. Plus, the parents that go there aren't snooty like at some other parks in the city.
Bernal Heights Park (also known as Maternal Heights) is great with parking. Has the rubber floor with baby swings. Huge grass dome. Dogs go here as well but it's very community oriented. One time, a non-accompanied older kid stole one of my baby's books, and the whole playground made it a point to get it back. I thought that was sweet, but also felt sorry for the boy who felt the need to steal my baby's book. Of all the toys and stuff out, he chose that, and I almost wanted to say "let him have it, he must not be getting that type of interaction at home." Sunny part of town and Bernal is actually a great and safe place.
Jackson Park on 17th in Potrero Hill has a huge flat grass area. Playground is sand. But not good for weekends since baseball tournaments go on (Sat & Sun) and they'll let you know it's their spot. But weekdays are definately cool. Great parking, Whole Foods right next door.
Precita Park right below Bernal and before Mission district is my new fave park. Dogs go here but owners are very aware that young kids go here and almost always pick up after their dogs. Plus, the city cleans it on a 4x/wk schedule. Super safe and parking not bad. Sunny too.
These are all in the city. Hope it helps. Feel free to ask me personally for more details.
What kind of class is it?
