Hi there!
If you want to go as far as San Pedro, Inner Harmony Yoga has an excellent beginner series.
The instructor, Kari, is warm, supportive and humorous.
There is no sense of competition or judgement whatsoever at Inner Harmony, and she also offers level one and two classes so you can progress.
Hope this helps.
HI Geri,
You will love Laurie's Yoga class. She holds Yoga classes in her home studio in Redondo Beach. I love her classes, they are small and you get individual attention. Perfect for a beginner. She took a break for the holidays but will be resuming with a new schedule. Hope to see you there. You can contact Laurie at: ____@____.com

Hi. My name is M. Strong and I am the owner of The Green Yogi in Manhattan Beach. We offer a free Yoga 101 class every month. It is an hour and a half beginners class. It is very popular in the South Bay and I highly recommend it if you are new to yoga. You can find details on our website at www.thegreenyogi.com (click on schedule, click on workshops tab). The next class is Sunday March 6th 4:15-5:45pm.
Have you tried the El Camino College Community classes? They start in February. Simply log on to www.ECCommunityEd.org. The Torrance Cultural Arts Center offers yoga. The next session starts on the spring. Just type Torrance Parks and Rec on your web search and it should give you the web address. Good Luck!
