I am hoping to find or form a group of several moms to meet twice a month and basically have a social time with our kids. I am not interested at this point in joining larger groups. I simply would like to talk to other moms about our kids, the weather, or whatever. And my kids would love to meet and play with other kids. I am hoping maybe to meet at the park a few times and then possible move the playdates to each others houses. I have a 5year old niece (missed the deadline to start school), 4 year old daughter, 2 year old son, and 7 month old son. I live in Cross Oak Ranch just off of 380 on 720. Providence, Savannah, and Paloma Creek are very close. Looking forward to meeting you!
Try going to meetup.com You can put in what kind of group you're looking for and see if there are any groups you'd like to join, or you can start your own group.

Denton MOMS Club Northeast is a great group. There is a member that lives in your development and several others that live out here. We meet once a month collectively, but individual playgroups meet all month long. We have lots of activities and dues are only $25/yr. Tomorrow is our Jan meeting at the north library in Denton at 1015. Bring all your kids! We'll have a short agenda and snacks. You will meet lots of other moms, mostly stay at home moms, with children of all ages.

The best way to find some playgroups would be www.meetups.com, and www.momsclub.com . Even if you join a mom's club, you can just go to the playgroups and nothing else. They're usually small and held at someone's house or the park like you're looking for. It's great to meet other moms in your area interested in getting together just like you! Good luck!
