Hi. We belong to a playgroup called Weymouth Moms and Tots. We meet once a week during in a church hall. During the summer we are meeting at area playgrounds. In addition to the playgroups, we have seasonal parties and other special events, and about once a month we have moms night out.

Hi;
I think the best places to start are the Abington Library for mom and me reading groups and activities over the summer. It's a great way to meet moms of children in the same age group. Also, in the fall there is the NRC (North River Collaborative) located in Rockland and serves families in the Abington community. They also have activities and playgroups for children of the same age group. They are free, and you can often become an active member in the playgroup activities. You can find info on them at the Library as well. The Hingham Community Center has many wonderful activities all year long, not free, but affordable. They are wonderful and usually you can view the schedule on line, or call them for a brochure. I beleive they are on South street.
Hope you enjoy them as much as me and my (almost) six year old did.
