Ok ladies, I need some help again. Ya'll have helped so much before. Ok, here it is. I have an issue with my weight. I need to lose 50 pounds and that will put me at a very good and healthy weight. I have no trouble At ALL excersizing, it's the intake of food. I am taking in more calories than I am burning off. So, I am still sitting at my current weight. I need some help in finding something to help train my brain into not eating so much. I need something that triggers me to stop thinking about putting food in my mouth when i am not hungry or to eat less when I do eat. I tried Healthe' Trim and that made me so dizzy and nausiated I had to stop. I have always been pretty sensitive to the diet pills and medications and stuff, so I don't try many of those. Does anyone have any ideas? We also don't have a lot of money, so I can't go and do the Weight Watchers thing or Jenny Craig or any of those things. I would love to, just can't. I am willint to try anything that I can afford. Has anyone taken B12 or B6 vitamins to help lose weight. I heard that one of those helps, just can't remember which one it is. Thank ya'll so much in advance!

I too am trying to lose 50#'s. I am doing weight watchers, but I can't afford to go to meetings or pay for it. The thing i did was googled the formula and points in food. I have done that and it has not cost me a dime! WW has been proven to work and 2 people I know have lost 50#'s and 30#'s. Cut back on portions and eat fruits, veggies and drink lots of water. Diet soda's do not help. If you want any advice, you can send me a messege. Good luck.

Have you tried Full Bars? I was thinking about trying them because my biggest problem is eating/snacking in the evening before I go to bed.

Hi R.,
B12 or 6 alone won't do it. A good B complex would help with cravings and blood sugar balancing.
You might look into ediets.com. The meals look balanced and fresh and you would be replacing money spent on other food. I have recommended it to one of my personal training clients who can't seem to follow other programs I feel are better.
I would be happy to give more help if you want to send me a message.

I just downloaded weight loss hypnosis sessions for my ipod. I read on another site that people listed to them for 30 minutes before bed in earphones, and it helps change your mental state toward eating. I haven't tried it yet, but for 99 cents, it is worth a shot. There are a bunch of them that you can download on amazon.com and they are rated 1-5 stars, I am sure that itunes has them also.

I am in the same boat as you. I would also like to lose about 50 pounds. I was exercising daily and seeing no changes. I won't do pills, it usually isn't safe and I am just too cheap to buy into WW or Jenny Craig or any of the others. I started tracking my calories on a free website. I signed up with a few and I think I like the http://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ the best. It's simple and I don't get spammed to death. It also tracks my workouts. There is something about writing down everything I eat, even though I am the ONLY one who sees it, that makes me think before I eat. This one also breaks down food into protein, fats and carb, so I have been also making smarter choices. I discovered that I tend to snack during naptime for my kids and that most of my calories were coming in the form of drinks. I have seen pretty immediate results after switching to water and cutting out the snacks...I have lost 8 pounds in just three weeks. I think it's helping me change my bad habits, make better choices and lost it the right way and not with gimmicks. GL!

I just hit my first weight loss goal yesterday!!! -20 Lbs! I started eating tofu. I know it sounds nasty... but it's not! I started sizing down my portions and then adding tofu. It cut the calories into about thirds (depending on how much you're cutting.) Just mixing it in with whatever I cook for the family.
Tofu has no flavor. It pick up whatever it is in....so the longer you let it sit in whatever you're going to eat...the more robust the flavor.
It only cost a few dollars to try so if you hate it...no problemo!
Here is the first recipe... !/2 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 tsp sesame oil, About a T fresh grated ginger, a clove of garlic...slice tofu and marinate for about ten min. (oh! some ppl prefer to add some water.) If you don't like the tofu...this makes an excellent fish marinade!

Just wanted you to know you are not alone. I went to the Dr this month after having him do tons of blood work, because I was convinced something must be wrong... I eat like a rabbit, lol. Well everything came back fine so I must be a hungry rabbit, lol. Just keep trying and if you slip up one day, forgive yourself and get back on track. The DR. said 2 to 3 lbs a month, every month is the way to go. In a year that is 30lbs and more likely to stay off then losing it with some crash diet. Best of Luck!

R., I did Weight Watchers for 3 months in '04 before I got pregnant. I lost 25 pounds and then after having the baby lost a total of 60. That time, I just did WW on my own. I just finished nursing my 2nd baby 4 months ago and have started back on WW again. I've lost 20 lbs since Feb. 1. I'm not paying for anything... if you could get a WW starter book on ebay or somewhere, I would be happy to show you websites and help you out. You are supposed to drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fruits/veggies everyday. I am so excited that this works!!! Good luck with whatever you try.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! I have faith in you! Stop drinking sodas first. When i did that, I immediately dropped about 8 pounds over about a 2 month period. Drinks tons of water and eat more times a day, but do smaller meals. For sure eat breakfast and then around 10, eat some snacks...nuts, fruit. Eat lunch and then eat another snack aroun 3 and then eat a sensible dinner. Watch how fast you eat. I am a fast eater and therefore can pile food in my mouth before I realize that I am getting full. Eat slower and savor the food - you will see you will fill up. Drink a glass of water before you eat dinner...that will fill your stomach up also so you will not eat as much. Good luck!!

Hang in there! You can do it.

What I used is Arbonne's Figure 8 Weight Loss. They have a weight loss supplement that increases your metabolism, supports fat loss and suppresses your appetite. The whole weight loss line is awesome and can be purchased within what your budget allows. I'd tried another leading brand of weight loss pills and I got very aggitated and everything irritated me. I had no negative side effects at all with Arbonne's supplement. I lost 16 lbs in 3 months using the supplement, the protein shakes, detox tea, Weight Loss Chews (seriously yummy candies), and the energy fizz tabs.

Arbonne's products are Vegan certified, contains no harsh chemicals and are packed with vitamins and minerals. Every ingredient in every product is pure, safe and beneficial.

Feel free to check out the website at http://www.atterberrynation.myarbonne.com.

Hope this helps!

Another free website you might want to look into is sparkpeople.com. It too allows you to journal your food intake, exercise consumption, water intake and other personal goals. I just joined yesterday and am starting to get the hang of it. It's pretty cool! When you write down every morsel/drink, you will be amazed how quickly the calories add up! It will keep you in check!

Two years ago I lost 52 lbs. just by changing my diet. I quit eating sugar & I use sweet & low. I love yogart of course the light with all the different flavors, my favorite is the boston cream pie. One thing I learned is that 1 cup of sugar has 730 calories & I loved sweet tea. Now when I drink it on occassion I feel misserable. Over full & uncomfortable for hours. I heard on channel 13 a few weeks ago that vitamin D & omega 3 ar excelent in helping with your appitite and brain health. As well as B6 & B12.
One of the things I found helped curve my appitite was when I would get cravings for sweets, I would eat 4 to 6 peanut butter crackers with a small glass of milk. It's really easy the main thing is don't beat yourself up about it. 2 or 3 lbs a week, it will work, be patient. I'm disabled & can't exercise so it is possiable. You didn't put it on over night. Hang in there, eat healthier stay away from fried or breaded foods, cut down or eliminate sugar & you will be surprised at the results. Good luck & God Bless.

Drink WATER!!!

Apples and almonds have a full effect... So eat either a small apple and a full glass of water or 6-8 almonds and a full glass of water 30 minutes before a meal.

It's best to not drink sodas at all, but if you have to don't drink diet drinks. They cause your system to expect calories and you will crave sweets more. You will end up eating more sugar than if you had just drank the regular beverage.

Add fiber. You can add benefiber to nearly anything like your morning coffee. Another alternative is flax seed. Ground flax seed can be added to most meals to add fiber and give a full sensation.

Slow down when eating. Try to chew at least 10 times before you swallow. This will give your system the chance to send your brain the message that you are full.

Good luck!
