Try Herbalife. My mother has been on the products since about April or May and has lost 74 pounds. She feels better and has more energy because of the products. www.herbalife.com
My goal is to lose 30 lbs before a family reunion next June. I'm able to go home for lunch during the week. What suggestions do you have for lunch items? I used to eat cottage cheese and peaches and it worked for awhile but then I got sick of it. Then I started Lean Cuisine which is really filling, but does it really work?
Also, I have a treadmill and an exercise bike. What do you suggest for the amount of time to exercise when I'm starting again?
And any other food suggestions are welcome!!!
TIA!

Atkins Diet is good!
E., My doctor suggested I try Sugar Busters. I'm reading the second version of the book right now and it's got some fantastic information in it - things you'll be surprised to learn about how "diet" foods often ADD weight rather than help you lose, how many foods should be avoided because they convert to sugar (which piles on the pounds), etc. I've developed Type 2 diabetes, so I'm counting on this new plan as a true life saver. Good luck with whatever you try. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers! S.
there are so many nutritious, yummy foods on this planet, to think you must limit yourself to one or two categories of food in order to limit your calories speaks Trouble (notice the capital T?)!
some foods to try including in your diet if you can are chicken, turkey, avocado, salmon, shrimp, broccoli, wheatgrass, sprouts, apples, almonds, sweet potatoes, beans, quinoa, brown rice, eggs, oatmeal, carrots, etc.
ensure you watch the portion sizes & try to not look to food for any more than the calories and nutrition your body needs
and re: exercise -- the key is building lean muscle tissue in order to increase the number of calories your body burns all the time, not just while doing activities. the safest, most efficient, most effective way to do this is high-intensity, brief, and infrequent (i.e. twice/week) strength training for all your major muscle groups. the safety and effectiveness of your exercise increases dramatically when the movement you make performing it slows down to approximately 10 seconds per direction (10 seconds up & 10 seconds down, or 10 sec out & 10 sec in, for example). ensure you breathe freely w/o blowing or holding your breath and keep your form, never allowing rest for the muscle until the exercise is over. the exercise is over when you can't move the weight anymore even though you try as hard as you can (breathing continuously!).
feel free to check out dr. mcguff's articles at ultimate exercise.com and you can also give Slo-Fit in Rockwall a call. they'll help bunches!
and don't forget a good fish oil supplement (salmon oil is great...)!
just resist all temptation to get a diet pill! they are all useless and bad for you regardless of what anyone tells you! ever wonder what their fine print says? it says "with proper diet and exercise you can achieve weight loss." see, even they say they are useless! LOL

Hi,
I highly recommend Isagenix. I have been using Isagenix products for about 1 year. I lost 46 pounds in about 9 months. www.castledecor.isagenix.com I also recommend starting to walk 30 minutes and work up to 1 hour per day when you have time.

I tried the Lean Cuisine and Smart Ones, too and had NO results! I'm doing South Beach and it's working. The first week was really hard for me, but I'm in week 2 now and it's not bothering me at all. I found a great website w/loads of recipes (even for pancakes!) that saved me. I've only lost 5 lbs so far, but slow and steady I guess. I do feel like it's a healthy way to do it, so... Good Luck! If you are over 30 it's just really hard.
My suggestion is, and I know it works because I did it personally, drink diet soda if you drink soda, cut out the sweets, and exercise at least thirty minutes a day and any kind of exercise
My #1 suggestion is to not deprive yourself of anything. If you want chocolate, eat it -- just learn moderation! That is the worst part but if you don't learn moderation, the weight will never stay off! I'm still working on that so if you find the magic trick, let me know! LOL
