I gave birth to baby boy 6 weeks ago.i have been facing loss of bladder control issue where I stand up and urine just poured down on floor From bladder and it has been 6 week and still it's not imimproved.i am feeling depress. I have been doing kegal exercise too.i don't think kegal exercises helping me out. Anyone else had this kind of issue before?what else I can do to fix the bladder problem.

I already consult my ob\gyn and than my ob\gyn refereed me to urogynacologist.urogyncaologist said that she never have seen such profuse urine leakage. She did Ct scan and cystoscopy and all tests results are normal. She diagnosis it as sever stress incontinence and asked me to wait and do kegal exercises.I just want to if anybody had this kind of situation?if yes than how much it took to cure it completely.

P.S.:My is not just leakage.it's like whole gush of urine coming our when I stand up.

What can I do next?

Wow--I'm so sorry!
I've heard of some leakage but never anyone with gushing like that.
I might consider another pinion at this point.
Good luck.

What does your Dr. say?

Some women have problems after giving birth and even with the exercises. See what your Dr recommends. There are some outpatient treatments that help people.

I personally did not go through it and I did kegels all the time, still do 20 yrs later, however my friend was not as fortunate and she had 2 surgeries to correct the issue.

Talk to your Dr., you are not the only one, plus, you are still hormonal and it has only been 6 weeks. Hang in there.

Have you talked with your doctor about this? Ultimately, only your doctor is the only one who can tell you how to fix it for you.

My daughter wore a pad to catch the urine. I don't remember for how long. She has birthed 4 babies. The youngest is 2. She uses a panty liner daily.

Wow - I'm so sorry! You need to get back into your ob/gyn's office and have this checked. It sounds to me that your bladder is loose and you'll end up needing to get it tacked up. If this is the case, there will be nothing you can do yourself to fix this. I would have your doctor send you to a specialist if this is the case.

Good luck!

You might want to talk to your doctor about that. For many women (I know I've certainly got it) we get some stress incontinence after pregnancy and childbirth. The more children you have the worse it tends to be.

Exercise ... kegal and the rest of the abdominal muscles can help. But if it's a concern talk to your doctor.

This is something you need to talk to your doctor about. Only they can tell after examining you. Something may have been damaged. It could just be weak muscles.
No way of telling unless a doctor physically examines you. If your baby is 6 weeks ago, ask at your check with your OB. If you already had that, why didn't you ask? This is what they are there for.
No one here is a doctor that's examined you. No one here can answer you.

It sounds like muscles were traumatized and the doc needs to check you out. I'd probably see what the OB/GYN has to say then if he doesn't know what's going on then go see a Urologist.

This is quite common but you need to talk to your doctor. He/she needs to examine you to give you advice on what to do. Don't be embarrassed. Your doctor will not be surprised.
