I read and totally agree with all the answers you have received so far. The only thing I could add to the list would be a physical therapist. I had a similar situation, just a little lower in my back, around my kidney and spent over a year having various tests done before someone was finally able to figure out the root of my problem. It was the PT who eventually diagnosed my issue, which was in fact, muscular and skeletal. I basically had to retrain my muscles and learn how to sit, walk, lift and sleep the right way. After a combination of physical therapy, chiropractics and pilates, I'm a new woman. Most importantly, when the pain starts to come back, I've been taught exactly what stretches and exercises to do to alleviate the pain. Good luck!
