My little girl is 2 and she will be going to camp on Monday. I am looking for some lunch ideas that I can pack for her. Basically everything that she eats for lunch now needs to be microwaved. No refridgerators or microwaves can be used for lunches. Well it wouldn't be so hard but she has turned into a picky eater. She won't eat any vegetables or fruits and she doesn't like PBJ or any other types of sandwiches so I am a little limited. I know that you mom's have some great idea's so I was wondering if you could give me some hints to what I can give her. She likes cheese, chicken, mandarin oranges and yogurt that's about it.

Any help would be appreciated very much!

They have these new lunchable JR's that do need to be microwaved. My son is 18 months old and is also a vefy picky eater. There not the big lunchable packs. They come with a few chicken bites, applesauce, and teddy grahams, they have several different kinds. Here is a web site for you to check them out.-http://www.kraftfoods.com/lunchablesmom/

Buy a good cooler style lunch box and pack it with the reusable ice packs. Then she can eat the foods she likes. My 2 year old is picky but even he enjoys the individually wrapped string cheese and Pilgrims Pride makes frozen chicken nuggets already cooked. They are baked not fried and are 2 grams of fat for 4 chicken nuggets. A staple in our house! You'll find them in the meat department at Publix. They come in a big bag and are near the fattening chicken nuggets. Only $5.99!

What you mentioned sounds great. Pregrill some chicken and cut it up in little pieces. Mandarin oranges and the chicken can go in zip locks for her to open easy. Send a cheese stick and a Danimal. Throw in a few animal crackers and she will probably get enough to eat for a two year old. Best of luck. R.

Does she like crackers? For a change of pace, I make my 2 yr old little sandwhiches made with crackers, ham and cheese. Sometimes I give him a cheese stick and roll lunch meat. If your child doesn't like lunch meat, just a cheese stick and some crackers with canned chicken breast and a gogurt. Those microwavable ravioli's in the pull top containers can be served at room temp. Hope this helps!

How about the little cheese and cracker packets or the tuna salad and crackers. Neither need preparation and how about jello or pudding cups for dessert? Will she do a small can of beanie weenies, they can be eaten cold? She might consider a sandwich if you use cookie cutters to cut them into cute shapes. How about soups? They have the packaged kind that come in a cup and all you have to do is add hot water and wait a minute for it to soak in. There is also little debbie cakes and cookies for dessert. My daughter at that age had a fetish for dill pickles and i would give her one of the whole ones to sit in her highchair and eat. There are also foil packaged chicken meat next to the tuna and crackers packets. Yogurt does ok out of a fridge for a good while. Good luck, I hope this helps alittle.
