I am 15 weeks pregnant and at my last doctors appointment I was told that I was stressed and needed to see a professional massage therapist to help ease some of the stress on my body. So I thought I would see if someone could recommend one that is really good and knows what they are doing cause I have never been to one and have no idea what to look for. I have the best person! She is also a licensed doula so she would be perfect! Her name is Aries and she works for The Spa by Mitchells at Triangle Town Center (right outside the mall). They have discounts every Tuesday. I know she was expecting last time I was there... which was sadly almost a year ago, so she may not be there anymore, but it is worth a try.

I am in Raleigh and work directly with OBs and know of massage therapists with pregnancy massage certifications that I trust. Portia B was right. I am a LMBT. Make sure you ask questions. Some LMBT's will come to your home for the session. They will have you lay on your side and prop you up with pillows for comfort. OR They might have a special mat that has a cut out for your tummy and you lay face down.

CAUTION!!
Deep massages/pressure point work/reflexology can be unsafe. The reason is certain techniques release toxins from your body (normally a good thing) but you share blood with your baby, you do not want to be releasing toxins so they can filter through your unborn.
