I was working in a situation where were forced to stop working at 6 months, which was best in my work situation, we (all of the preg. moms) were able to file for unemployment during part of our maternity leave, we were typically out of work for 6 months total, (3 months before and 12 weeks FMLA after the birth, some shorter if thy chose and were released by their Dr to return to work). we were able to file because were were capable of working just not our regular job and since there was no "light duty" work that we could do we were basically unable to work, thus the ability to collect unemployment till the baby was born or we were medically unable to work at all. but once the baby was born we were no longer able to work so we could not file at that point. Also keep in mind you have to be out of work for two weeks before you can file for unemployment and you do have to seek new/temporary employment while collecting unemployment. but realistically in your situation employers will not be willing to hire you if you are not going to be a long term working employee.
another option is as long as you are able you might ask around for some business people that just might need you to do errands for them, for hire! I have an Attorney friend that would gladly have someone take her car to get washed, oil change, light shopping or groceries. she doesn't live any where near here so I can't refer you to her but she always says that she would love to have a SAHM to do these small errands for her... you might be able to start with your co workers as a resource. these are small things that you could do even after the baby is born and ready to get out of the house,
Some pregnancy crisis centers will also help you find resources to support yourself, there is one in Grapevine that is supposed to be very good about this kind of thing. good luck
