McDonald's Birthday Parties

I have been racking my brain brainstorming on new & inexpensive ideas on where I can have my daughter's 4th birthday party. Her 1st birthday party, we had it here at home & the weather was GORGEOUS, so we got to do a lot outside. Then the last 2 years, we had her party at Gatti-Town, which was perfect...it was super cold these last 2 years during her birthday. She's a Thanksgiving baby & the Texas weather is unpredictable.

Anyways, we were at breakfast this morning at McDonald's after voting & I had this bright idea of having her party there. This finally brings me to my question.

Has anyone had a birthday party at McDonald's? I haven't been to one or heard of one since I was a kid & I am now 35 years old. LOL

If you have, could you recommend the nicest & sparkliest Mcdonald's in the North Dallas or Plano area.

I was at the one across from Willowbend this morning. It was nice, but I just know there has to be a nicer one out there. And I spoke with that manager & I could have one for $75 for 10 kiddos. Sounds great, just want to hear about one from someone that has experienced it.

Thanks soooo much in advance for any help!

So What Happened?

Hello everyone. And thank you for your input on the birthday parties being held at McDonald's. My daughter had the best time ever! BUT, I will never have another party hosted by McDonald's nor would I recommend it. You are more than welcome to visit my blog to find out what happened.

You'll have to scroll down a bit to get to my Mcdonal's Birthday Party Nightmare Blog. But really, if your considering a party there, please be well informed.

I had my son's birthday party at McDonalds and it worked out great. It is cheap and you have no mess to clean up at your own house. And you dont have to worry about entertaining 10 energetic children, which can be tricky at times. They have a host that does it all for you, so you can sit back and enjoy your child's birthday and not have to run around trying to do it all by yourself. In my opinion, it is a great idea!

Hi T.,

There is a Mcdonalds shaped liked a happy Meal off 635 and Monfort right by Valley View Mall. It was nice and the kids liked the fact it was shaped like a Happy Meal. The kids had a good time!

I had my son's 4th party at McDonald's last year. He loved it! It was fun and inexpensive. They have someone that hosts it for you and they lead the party. They even provide the cake and ice cream. Nothing fancy but in all honesty the kids could care less if the cake is fancy. I would do it again with my younger kids as they approach more birthdays.

I would recommend Boomerangs off of coit and Spring creek. they are super clean, fun jumping around and great for this age group. If you do the party mon.-thu. you can get 10 kids in for $99. My son had his birthday there on a monday (technically 3 days after his birthday) and he and his 5 year old classmates had a blast!

My daughter had her last party at McD's, it was great! There's a party host and she sets it all up, gets all the drinks, etc. We had 20 kids, so the party cost a little more, but it was still cheaper than having it at those bounce house places...they even provide the goody bags.

We are in Grapevine, so that is where her party was, so I don't know of any in your area.

I did do something cute for her invites though:
Big Mac,
Filet-o-Fish
So and so(insert name here) is turning SIX!

So, maybe you could think of a cute poem w/mc d's food and the age your kid is turning.

from my perspective, i would never let my daughter attend a birthday party at mcdonalds. it promotes bad eating choices for children's futures. no matter how "sparkly" and clean a mcdonalds is, the food still all comes from the same place! for $75 you could make really good snacks, plan fun games AND still buy cool party gifts if you just had the party at a local rec center or something...
