Hi. I want to throw a party for my 3 year old in Chicago area - north or northwest side. Just 6 kids. Ive considerind McDonalds primarily because of low cost, ease and size of party. If you've had a good or bad McDonald's birthday experience, please share with me your advice. Also, anyone ever hava a birthday party at the McDonalds on Cicero Avenue near Montrose in Chicago? Finally, if I don't go with McDonalds, I'd love to find a place with music making or play. Any suggestions? And not Chuck E Cheese. Thanks.

What can I do next?

not sure how far your willing to travel but Holiday Inn in Itasca is offering a pizza, swimming, and movie night sleepover for 5 for 99.00. I'm sure other hotels in your area might have the same offers. I just took my daughter this weekend for her 4th birthday she loved it. Oh, kids eat free for the breakfast buffet also.

Hi Mary,
I have had a party for my child at a McDonalds about 2 years ago and it was the best decision for me.

I thought the cake was small for the 10 kids i had at the party.Which was half a sheet of a sheet TO ME. ANYWAY it was perfect especially the cleaning up i didn't have too do.
The party was in the suburbs.
the price was reasonable too.
and the kids was contained and having fun

Hello, well my kids and I always go to Buffalo Wild Wings on either Wednesday or Sunday... They have .99 kids meals they have face painting and raffles for the kids...All for free. So depending on how much playing you want the kids to do. That's definetly an inexpensive way to get the kids out and have fun..

Hi Mary,
You could try the Park District or Kohl's Children Museum.
Go Bananas is also fun (it's a little like Chuck e cheese but better) They have rides, a small roller coaster and big moon bounce fun slides, sand art. There is one in Arlington Heights and another in Norridge on Harlem Ave. I usually go to the one in Norridge. Here is the website and you can also print out coupons from the website as well.
