I had to have an emergency Medical Abortion - Which was very hard on me mentally right now. I had it 3 weeks ago right after my frist gyno appointment.
There are several reasons why medical abortion was disscussed with Me and my OBGYN.
However - I havn't had a period since the Medical Abotion - My periods are always the 1st - 2nd week of every month. So I haven't had a period for the month of september.
With that being said - I took a prenancy test - It is a positive test.
Does this mean im pregnnat? Or is it wacked out hormone levels?
I have had Un Protected sex 2 time since the abortion - So Im kinda freaking out here.
The unprotected sex was on this saturday around the 6th of this month.
So Im wondering - if a pregnacy test will be postive from having sex - one week ago - or is it just jacked up horomone levels.

i am SO sorry, that's gotta be especially heartbreaking... was there any concern of this being a molar or partial molar pregnancy? your hcg should have dropped significantly by now, if not, i would get in to my DR today to confirm a NEW pg or rule out a molar(which can be cancerous and require chemo). please go see your dr ASAP. i will be thinking of you.
I would think it's a false positive, your hormones are probably just out of whack. I did think that you're supposed to be very careful about getting pregnant for several weeks after a D&C. Take care of yourself.
I would call your ob. When I miscarried, my hormone levels didn't drop until I had my D&C. My guess is, this is just a carry over. Good luck.
Honestly it is most likely just crazy hormones right now. You should not have a preg. test show positive 6 days after intercourse. That said, it is definitely something to call your OB about. She can answer more specificallly, and may even want to see you soon just to make sure, given your history. I am so sorry for your heartache, I am sure you are in a rough place emotionally!! Your body has suffered a trauma too, and it may take you a while to adjust, so your periods could be off for a few months even. So, again, call the dr in the morning, but for now, I would assume that it was hormones. A friend had a preg test show positive 5 weeks after she had a baby (obviously she was freaking out) but it turned out to be left over hormones. Hang in there and good luck in the future! ~A.~
