It's a new site that will enable you to easily meet moms in the area. Good luck!
I am looking for a support group in Carrollton or surrounding area. To meet other mothers. Make new friends. Any suggestions?

Hola L.:

L.,
Try www.meetup.com - There are lots of groups out there you could join depending on your interests. There's quite a few mother's groups out there, hopefully one near you. I started attending Mom's in the Loop a couple months ago and really enjoy it and have met lots of great people.
Good luck to you.
J.
Hi L.!
I'm not as close to you geographically as others may be (around the George Bush and Midway), but I'd love to meet you! I'm a stay-at-home mom and work out of my home.
I'm so sorry to hear about your ex-husband. I've both been there and done that. It's wretched.
Just letting you know that I'd like to get to know you! Despite spending the last 5 years here in Dallas, I find I have very few friends as well. Deciding to stay at home with my baby was not looked upon as wise by many.
Regardless, please feel free to respond, if you've got time.

L.,
You need to find a Mother's and More club or the Mom's Club International.
I actually was part of The Mom's Club international in Florida( been here for a few months) and one of my closest friends there used to live in Carollton and was apart of the Mom's Club there in Carrollton before moving to Florida.
She loved it and said it was quite active.
You will make friends for life I know so! They have events for you and your kids and have a Mom's Night Out once a month as well as a monthly meeting with informative speakers. This is truly a
friendship club in all aspects. It will give you the support you need and women who are your age and share the same difficulities, joys with kids and family are the best nurturing relationships you will need right now.
Here is a link to find you local chapter

Good Luck

L.,
I am moving to McKinney in 4 days ,but can offer one website that has been helpful in meeting new people. It is called McKinney moms meetup. The home webpage is mom.meetup.com. You can find a meet up in your area, join this one or find a ton of other meetups in the Dallas area. They meet for just about everything, book club, animal lovers or moms like us. It might get you on the right track to meeting new people. Although I am not in your situation, I will feel the lonliness bug too. We have no family there either, and my kids 4, 8 and 13 do their own thing. I hope this helps!
If you have any questions let me know. I will be at this email until Thurs. Movers come tomorrow-
Take care-
Kris
Try taking a class at the local rec center. Most classes are relatively low in cost & do have lots of classes for singles too. I did this before I got married. :)
Hi L.,
If you would like to attend church, Fellowship church in Grapevine has great singles groups. They usually meet on Sat night. Go to their website and check it out. It is a very big church but they are so nice and have alot to offer singles. I believe it is Fellowshipchurch.com. I uses to go , but I met my husband then Igot married so we attend a married group.
Good Luck!
K.
