If this is the only symptom, I'd say it is just her stomache adjusting to the milk. Also, keep in mind that we digest different foods differently. This just may be the permanent way in which her body voids with the added milk.
Good luck.
I just started my twin girls on whole milk. One of them has had 3 yellowy, mushy poops today. Do you think this could be an allery to milk or just her stomach adjusting to the milk?

im no dr. but is she getting stomach aches or pains and crying. usually if they are allergic they get pains and sometimes their stool is very very runny. otherwise, they sometimes need to adjust to the milk over the formula. hope this helps. K.
Please look at family history on both sides, when introducing any kind of food or liquid. I would also go organic.
It is probably them adjusting to the milk. I would probably water it down and do half formula and half milk, I am doing soy milk because i think straight cows milk is hard on a child's digestive system. I feed my son stonyfield's yogurt-it is called yo baby. they sell a three pack at walmart for about $3.12. This is a good way of giving them the calcium they need and it is made with whole milk and it is organic. The also make lactose free milk and it is a little more expensive but may be easier on the tummy for your twin girls.
Their stomach adjusting to the milk. If they have an allergy they will most likely get a rash on their face or bum. Next time you change a diaper look for a red ring around their butt hole. My whole family has had problems with milk(from grandma to grandchildren to cousins!). We never had any problems with stool but always got rashes. One time my daughter got a hold of some cheddar cheese at the grocery store and bit the package.....when we left the store she had little red dots all around her mouth. Each child is different. Good luck.
Without knowing more, I'd say it's just adjusting to the milk. Most formulas are milk based but it's still different than whole milk. Wait to see how long it continues and let the doc know so it's on record and he's aware.

Hello R.:
Try lactose free milk if 1% or 2% milk does not work. My family prefers parmalat (children will not drink anything else.) If this is an allergy problem you might have to try soy products.
I would tend to think they are just getting used to the milk. Were they on formula or breast milk? Whichever it was--maybe try to alternate until they adjust. You know, kind of switch more gradually. Good luck!
A true milk allergy involves either eczema (itchy skin rash), hives, or is life-threatening (throat closing up & anaphylaxis). Your little girl may have a milk intolerance. I would definitely talk to the pediatrician to see his/her recommendations. Good luck!
