You body has figured it all out.... it now knows how to produce the milk on demand... it no longer produces it when you don't need it, that is why you don't feel "full" in the morning.
If your baby seems satisfied, and isn't fussing like he isn't getting any milk, I wouldn't worry too much about it.....
Also... are you by any chance taking any medicines, either by prescription or OTC? Some of those can decrease milk supply. Antihistamines are well-known for decreasing milk supply.
As far as not hearing the swallowing sounds, he probably is swallowing... just not "gulping" as when there is so much milk at once. He is getting the milk, it just isn't as obvious. Your child is figuring it out, also..... he doesn't need to gulp and be noisy to be nursing efficiently. Is he still having plenty of wet/dirty diapers?
