Hello beautiful ladies!! I've got a quick question. So I missed a birth control pill on the 28th of march. I took two the next day and on the 30th my husband and I had sex. Today (April 11th) I started spotting but I'm still on my birth control pills, and I'm supposed to start my period next week. The spotting/discharge is brown and pink in color. So I'm wondering, could I be pregnant?

What can I do next?

I agree that the spotting is likely due to the hormone swings.

However, this doesn't mean that you are NOT pregnant either. It's just irrelevent to whether you are pregnant or not.

You'll have to wait a week, and see if you get your period.

probably a hormonal imbalance, but I would get a test just to be sure.

I agree with 2boysforme - it's probably just a hormonal fluctuation.

However, this was how my DD was conceived.... so a pregnancy is possible, but not likely.

Good luck!

Well, even on hormones you can still get pregnant. Hormones can mess with your system so spotting outside of your regular cycle might be a common side-effect like mood swings and weight gain. I don't know if you know this but hormones can have serious side-effects and long term ramifications to your health...especially if you have not had a baby before. There are studies linked to cancer...infertility...heart disease...liver tumors...cervical cancer...I don't even remember what all there is.

The best way to not get pregnant is to use natural family planning.

You'd have to rad the packaging to determine the likelihood. Some can be skipped and made up. Some it depends on when in the pack you missed. Read your package and go from there.
