Does anyone know of a pediatrician (or a clinic) in the Houston, TX area that will administer the MMR vaccine separated into 3 shots?

What can I do next?

So, interesting, a co-worker asked me about this just today.

The three separate vaccinations may be hard to find and your insurance may not cover the full cost.

You have a couple of options:
1) Ask your doctor to write a prescription and then call around to larger hospital pharmacies.
2) Contact a doctor that specializes in travel medicine...they have many singular vaccinations that are usually only in combination for standard immunizations.
3) University hospitals may have them in stock , try UTMB in Galveston.

Krenie Stowe specializes in alternative medicine in Houston. I don't believe that she accepts insurance, but she will actually come to your home or you can go to her clinic (near The Woodlands).

Good luck!

Check out the Dr. Sears website for vaccine updates. I don't beleive they make the separate vaccines anymore. The vaccine makers weren't making enough profit...

Try great kids pediatrics-By Memorial Hospital They did it for my son around 1 year ago. It was not the easiest thing and had to wait until they actually got the vaccines from somewhere.

I am not sure where to get them but one thing you want to make sure and ask is the availability of those three shots. I have been doing some research as well and have found that some parents can often get the Measles and Mumps one, but for some reason the Rubella one is harder to find. There has been talk about low supply of just the Rubella. Just make sure you can get it before you start with each individual shot because if you can't get it, you will have to revaccinate with the MMR!!
