Mom Seeking Extra Cash by Working from Home

Has anyone ever tried or researched filling out online surveys as a stay at home business? I am curious about this because I just need a little spending money and I am not willing to do a "home party" business. Of course, my main concern- is this legitimate or a scam? Any input regarding freelance writing or filling out surveys from home would be appreciated!

Hello J.-
I am a wife and mom of a 4 year old daughter and 10 weeks pregnant. I work 2-3 days a week at a hair salon and I also have a "stay at home" job. I work with westathome.com
It is an awesome company to work with. You do not pay anything to get into, you get paid twice a month, and they pay you for training. All you need is a home computer and a basic phone line. There are differant projects you can train for from HSN, SEARS, GE, DIRECT RESPONCE, PROFLOWERS, ETC. I deal with Proflowers as a customer service agent. People call you with orders, or sometimes have a problem with a delivery. Around the holidays is when I am the busiest with this project. You can make anywhere from 100-300wk, depending on how many hours you put in. This is a reputable company. I have never had any problems and I have been with them since October 2007. My sister in law works part time at JcPenny, goes to Dorsey Business school, has a 1 1/2 year old, and does this. It is really wonderful. You set your own hours anywhere from 1/2 hour a day to 8 hours a day. You decide how much you want to make with it.
If you have any questions let me know. If you get on there website at www.westathome.com, go to become an agent, then apply now. You just fill out an app. It will take a while for them to reply because they have over 10,000 agents working for them from all over.

Hope this helps you.

I am also an Independent Distributor with Shaklee and I love it. I do not do any home parties! Moms are looking for what we have to offer. We can help them create healthier lives and safer environments for their children. Check out my website www.mywahmbiz.com. You may also want to check out the front page of The New York Times. There is a great article titled EcoMoms. Good luck to you!

Hello J.! Congratulations on the bundle to come and the not so small bundle that's already here. My husband and I have just begun to dable in the survey arena and what we have found is that there are numerous sites out there that say they will pay you to take surveys. But what they don't tell you is that you have to sign up for hundreds of different sites in order to keep the surverys rolling in. There are also alot of sites that will pay nicely but they are linked to other companies and in order to get paid, you have to agree to become a member of a club, or buy a product, or subscription to something every month. So some of the offers can be good but there alot cathches. Having said all of that, I would still encourage you to begin researching if you haven't already becuase you never the kind of success you might have. ALWAYS make that if you find a site, that it's FREE to join. There a number of sites that will sneak in a fee to be a member of the site. You shouldn't be spending your money if they are supposed to be paying you to work for them! I hope I have been of some help to you. Take care!

I have tried the surveys and did not receive one penny. The only thing that I got was a lot of junk mail. I have tried a number of other work at home jobs and have not liked any of them until now. I currently am an independent distributor for Shaklee and have been having a lot of fun. Shaklee has been in business for over 50 years and has never had to recall any of their products. They products are all pure and environmentally safe. They deliver right to the person so no inventory or personal delivery is needed. Everyone in Shaklee is very willing to help out with any questions you might have. If you would like to research this company please go to my website at www.shaklee.net/kcarter
