I am a 22 year old new mom looking to meet up with other young moms in the area. Just wondering if something like that is already happening? I'd love to make some new friends and give little girl someone to play with!

Hi,
I am a 21 year old mom of a 15 month old daughter, and I find myself in the same predicament you are in. We are also working conflicting schedules to care for our daughter. We just moved to this area from Lubbock in late 2005 and I really don't know anyone up here. It is hard to meet people when you are as young as we are and you have kids! I was going to join a stay at home moms club, but I realized the moms in these groups are generally older than me and we probably wouldn't have a lot in common. I would also like to make new friends in this area for myself and for my daughter. If you would like to talk more, you can email me at ____@____.com!

Hello,
You may want to log on to iplaygroups.com for a playgroup. I joined the Working moms playdates group for those of us who can not meet during the middle of the day during the week.
Good luck,
K.
There's a club for moms of newborn babies and babies under 6 months, go here for more info: www.moms.meetup.com/1329 ... under the "about" section, it says:
Tired of Moms groups and Playgroups
made up of older kids?
Looking for a group that is geared toward parents more like YOU,
a MOM OF A NEWBORN or NEW BABY?
WELCOME to the MOMS of NEWBORNS and NEW BABIES MEETUP GROUP!
Now is your chance to meet other moms of new babies!
Our goal is to provide a forum in which new moms
can build strong friendships with others.
And later, when our kids are old enough to socialize,
we will also be all set to start up some playdates and playgroups.
Sort of a 2-in-1 deal, make some good friends for you AND your baby!
