Hey There, I'm a new mom of an almost 3 week old and I'm stir crazy being home 24/7 with my son! Are there any mom's groups in te Smyrna/Vinings area where I can meet other moms? Unfortunately, I'm one of the first of our friends to have kids so it has started to feel a bit isolating!

When I became a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom) 5+ yrs. ago, my saving grace was The MOMS Club. I'm stil in it and my kids are now school age. I know that Smyrna/Vinings has at least one, if not more, chapters. The MOMS Club is a national organization with area chapters through the US. Go to www.momsclub.org to check them out. Click on the door and look around. There are links to area chapters. You can also email the national headquarters with your zip code and they will connect you to the chapter that is closest to you. Someone from that chapter will give you a call within a few days and invite you to an activity.
Our chapter in Roswell has playgroups, 2-3 kid's activities/week, book clubs, Mom's Night Out, a walking club, cooking club...just to name a few. Needless to say it had been a life saver when the kid's were small and I needed some adult conversation/interaction. Good luck!

Go to www.momsclub.com and send them an e-mail. They will set you up with a group in your zipcode. They are all really nice and set up play groups by your child's age.
H., check out www.AtlantaAreaMommies.com We plan activities for moms and kids and we have a great online forum. :-)
