My son is due in 17 days, so any day now, he could pop out. My daughter is almost 5, and I'm wanting to have a day of just her and me with fun things she'd love to do. Any suggestions on what would be some good things to do with her?? Thanks y'all!

What can I do next?

That's such a GREAT idea! I hadn't thought of that. I'm due in December and my two daughters (8 and 5) would love that.

I say take her to the zoo, if the weather is cooling off where you are, and if you're up to walking that much. Do you have one close to your house?

Build-a-bear would be fun and she'll have a keepsake of your date together. My DD still has her first Build-a-bear from her date with Grandpa when she was 3 and she's almost 12. It's one we'll keep forever because it's a fond memory of hers. :) Congrats on the new baby!

Before my daughter was born I took my son (4) to a puppet show and then out to lunch. He loved it and we're planning another mommy/son day next month. Check out the local theaters and see if there is a play or a movie (Finding Nemo in 3D comes out next week) and then do lunch!

look up club tabby and see if you have one near you. you can get hair and nails done its geared twards kids so you may look a bit younger lol. but very fun for young girls if not just let her do your hair and nails then do hers. have fun!

Paint-your-own-pottery? You paint it, and then the place keeps it and glazes it, and you come back to pick it up after a couple of days. She'll have something to keep, and you get to be creative together. (I would suggest getting something small for each of you to paint, so you can do it together, but not get in each others' way.)
