I am looking for a mothers day out program (or part time preschool) for my 3-year old. I have visited a couple of area preschools and have found them to be very expensive (about 500$ a month for two days a week). I would really like something just two days a week but it to not just be a daycare, but education, interactive and a lot of fun as well.
My daughter goes to First Baptist Church in Keller, and LOVES it. She was going for two days a week, but is now moving into the 4 year old class so will be doing three days from 0915 to 1415. As far as I can remember the fee for two days a week was $195 per month. The staff are great and there's a lot of fun activities too - they also do music and Spanish sessions.
We've been very happy at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Keller. It's not a fancy facility, but the staff is wonderful and it's affordable. Two days a week 9-2 is $150/mo.
Kids at the Cross preschool at Church at the Cross on William D Tate in Grapevine. I've had kids at the program, I've worked at the preschool, and the director is great. The teachers are great, they do lesson plans for all age groups, but the lessons are mostly learn though play...talking about playdoh starting with the letter P while "P"laying with playdoh that is "P"ink type stuff. They do chapel, music, and in the 4's do computer!

Compass Christian Preschool in Colleyville. They might all be full at this point since schools start in the next few weeks. but worth a shot to check them out.
Try Keller Christian School at Keller Church of Christ in Old Town. The Church of Christ at Heritage on Heritage Trace Parkway. Light of the World on Old Denton Rd near Tarrant Pkwy. Harvest Church on 377 and Hightower in Watauga. All have MDO programs or preschools.
Try Discovrey School in N. Richland Hills. It is an accredited preschool that operates the hours of a MDO. My son went there and by the time he finished pre-k, he knew all his letters/letter sounds, could write all letters capital and lowercase, could write his name and some words, could rhyme, etc. The activities are engaging and motivating and centered around a theme. It is located in Smithfield United Methodist church. Give the director Janet a call and you can tour. Good luck!
