I feel very blessed to have found this wonderful support group and I enjoy reading all the great ideas that you all have to share. I was hoping to see if any of you have recently moved into the East Valley (I'm in Mesa off Greenfield/Brown) and I'll be moving soon to a different part of the valley...so I wanted to see if any of you have any boxes you no longer need. I would rather recycle/re-use!! :) Also, I would be happy to pick them up. Thank you in advance!!
Call the library near you. My husband works for SERL and they are always receiving shipments in and have extra boxes they are happy to donate to someone if you are needing some more.
How soon would you need them? I have just moved myself and hopefully will have lots of empty ones soon (just as fast as I can w/a newborn)

I have two large boxes and one smaller one at the moment and I'm expecting another packing in the next couple of days but Im unsure of the size. However, I am at Higley and Ray so that may be too far but if you think you might be in the area soon and would like to pick them up, let me know.
I dont have any, but I have found that if you go to the grocery stores early (or call to find out when is the best time), you can get all the boxes you need. Favorites of mine are from the produce dept...the ones oranges and apples come in. Calling stores to find out when and giving them heads up so they dont tear them apart is a good idea. I also like Pampers boxes since they have handle holes. Barnes and Nobles has also been a good place and also some printing places as the boxes paper come in are super too! Happy moviing!
Hi J., You are a lucky girl! I just moved on the 15th and am in unpacking HELL! We combined 2 households and needless to say, we are piling up boxes. We are off Gilbert and Warner. Contact me direct if you would like to pick them up! I also have BAGS of used packing paper, you are welcome to that also if you can use it.
Craiglist has a ton of listings under the free section.

I wish I had boxes for you. When we moved I used the big rubber made tubs and just use them for storage now. I wrote to you because I too have a daughter who is 19 and a son who is 21. My son is married already and expecting their first baby any day. My daughter is home for the summer but just finished her freshman year at NAU. I have been married for 27 years to a wonderful guy. You live near me right now. Where are you moving to? Good luck on your box hunt. Did your 18 year old graduate this year? Mountain View?

I sell Avon so always have boxes available. Several people have told me they are just wonderful because they aren't so huge that they weigh too much when packed. I don't have as many now as I sometimes do because I've had a lot of people moving recently, but you are surely welcome to what I have. I also have a few bigger boxes as well. I'd rather see them in use than stacked up here.

I will have some once I unpack. I don't have many because some got left out in the rain:( but I do have a few!
Just an idea: We got a lot of our boxes out of the recycling bins on Power Rd south of the Red Mtn Library. This is the location where the public can drop off larger recyclable items for the City of Mesa. My husband felt like we were stealing, but I explained that we were simply helping to 'recycle' the boxes. Not sure if you would be willing to look in the bins, but just a thought.
Hopefully I will unpack the rest of my boxes this week. I am up your way again on Thurs. night, so we can meet. I actually work out at Fitness Works so we could always meet in their parking lot. Just let me know if you are interested.
