Moving Day!

So we found a house. We are renting it until my sisters divorce is final! ( she finally got away from that mentally and physically abusive jerk!) We then have the option to buy in one year. We so want to! We are actually renting from some old time friends of ours that makes it all the more of a happy place! They are being so helpful! To see the smile on my sisters face when we got the keys was just... AMAZING!

So my question. What can I cook tonight to make the night of moving all of our stuff special? She has 3 boys that are well... pickey eaters. They will not be there during the move but when they get there I would like to make it special for them.

Here is what we are dealing with for pickey:
a 5 year old that does eat veggies!
Cannot be tough meat because he hates when it takes forever to chew!
Does not eat a lot of chicken ( i am ok with not cooking it tonight as it will take to long.)

The other child I will just make his favorite Chicken nuggets in the oven! It works lol.

And the other will have his bottle and baby food! hehe... or... should I pure food for him tonight?!? hmmm the options!

What can I do next?

We always order pizza on moving day! Why add another chore to the already long list. And everyone loves pizza.

Congratulations!! It sounds like good times are ahead!!

How about something easy like spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and ice cream sundaes. You can buy frozen turkey meatballs. That way little guy can avoid the meat if he doesn't like it.

You could do:
Lasagna (for the adults), spaghetti & chicken nuggets (for the kids), a nice
green salad w/a lot of fixings, garlic bread.

-Or

Grilled chicken on the bbq, baked red potatoes, french fries, chicken nuggets, rolls.

You can also, have a bunch of appetizers. Fun to munch on throughout
the move or celebration. Cheese & crackers, veggies w/Ranch dip,
potato chips w/onion dip, tortilla chips w/salsa, buy a pack of mini
cupcakes for dessert.

Juice boxes, water bottles & sodas.

How nice of you to help celebrate.

Take out (or delivered) food (and paper plates) for moving day!
Because no matter how I plan, pack and label, I can never find my pots/pans/dishes/cups/utensils for a few days.
Plus I'm too tired to prep, cook and clean up after meals when I can just throw paper plates away.

Congratulations!!

while they aren't "special" - since I don't know what you cook on a daily basis....

Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad.
Tacos and burritos....
lasagna, garlic bread and salad...
some type of "wrap" - they don't eat veggies - but you might get something in there....
hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill!
mac and cheese with peas and ham chopped up in it!!

Sorry about the picky eaters!! There are sooo many things I would recommend if not for the picky eaters....they probably won't like the mac and cheese or the wraps...present it with a happy and excited face - and they just might!!

CONGRATULATIONS!! I hope you and your sister are able to purchase the home next year!! Many great changes in your life!! Enjoy them!
