Welcome, J.!
The Bay Area is pretty big... where specifically will you be moving? There are lots of very active Mom's Groups around in different areas.

Hi Mommies! It looks like I'm moving to the Bay area (Oakland Hills, Dublin, San Pablo) soon and I'm looking to start connecting with other mothers of infants up there. I have tried Meetup.com down here, but haven't had much luck. I am willing to try again up there, but I tend to like the moms I meet on here better.
If you have similar interests as I and would be willing to help me acclimate to the area... please respond :)
So far I'm getting some great help! Keep it coming ladies... I don't know anyone up there other than my boyfriend's family! :) Let me also add in that so far the moms in the Bay area are far nicer than the ones down here in San Diego. I put out a request to meet moms down here when I first moved here and got very little response. So thank you again!
Welcome, J.!

Welcome to the Bay Area! One activity I would recommend is to come to a Gymboree Play & Music class. There is a level 1 class for babies under 6 months old. These classes often create an opportunity for people to make really good friendships because they are meeting as parents of infants. Your first class is free. I'm not sure what area you're moving to but here is the website = hopefully there is a location near your new home.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hey there what area of the Bay are you moving to? My little family is moving out to San Leandro next month. We are just coming from the central valley. I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old. Both girls. Right now I am trying hard to lose my pregnancy weight and I am also thinking about studying nutrition. I have a sister who is a dietitian.
If you're looking to connect with other mommies, make sure you check out MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers). It's for moms who are pregnant on up through when their last child graduates from kindergarten. There are several in the Bay Area: Fremont, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Danville, Livermore... Check out MOPS.org for more info. on a group near you. We have a lot of fun together and support each other through this exciting and busy season of motherhood. It's a great place to make friends and develop play groups for your kids too.
Hope you enjoy the Bay Area.

Hi J.,
What part of the Bay Area are you moving too?
:-)

Check out the magazine Bay Area Parents, it has tons of great ideas and activities and lists of different mothers groups in the area. Its a free publications usually available in different locations around the bay. The Bay Area is a big place, so you'll want to mention exactly what area you're moving to. From the sound of your bio, you should really like it here. Good luck on your move.
Well, I just want to welcome you in advance. I am a bi-racial mommy with lots of bi-racial kiddies. My youngest is 10 mo. I am also into having a healthy lifestyle. I would love to learn more from you and maybe hang out.

Hi J. S.
You mentioned you are working on your Master's Degree in Holistic Nutrition. On that subject, I have a question for you. What do you think of Kinoki Foot Pads to detox the body? Any opinion? Thanks.
