The new Five Finger Death Punch :) and a mix of Skillet, Rob Zombie, Sublime, Johnny Cash, mifits, and some Conway Twitty
I am currently bored by pretty much all of the music that is played on the radio these days. I have had Paul Simon in my CD player for about a month. I have also been listening to Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, Dave Rawlings Machine, and Bob Marley. So how about you? What is in your CD player right now? Or what Sirius station are you listening to?
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I love all genres of music with the exception of the current state of country.
I have about 15 Pandora stations that I have customized to near perfection. I now have a Traveling Wilbury's station. Thank you Grandma T! I had forgotten how much I love them! I also love Amos Lee, Ray Lamontagne, Wilco, Gillian Welch, Phish, String Cheese, RATM, Patty Griffin, The Duhks, Jeremy Fisher, The Dead, Ben Harper, Michael Buble, Sinatra,...I could seriously go on and on. I also have a very diverse taste in music, but am ALWAYS on the lookout for new suggestions. I have already checked out Imelda May, Josh Rouse, and Blitzen Trapper. I love them all so far, so THANKS!

I'm completely hooked on the Fleet Foxes, just went to their concert in Chicago, we were lucky, they were sold out twice.
I have not heard such beautiful music, since Simon and Garfunkel.
But I also like Jazz, such as Diana Krall,Frank Sinatra, always the 80ties,
America, Al Stewart, Hall & Oates, James Taylor, Eagles, Journey, Gin Blossoms, Goo Goo Dolls, Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), Def Leppard, REM, The Cure, Queen, Paul McCartney and Wings, Stevie Nicks (Wild Heart. Every song is awesome), Gerry Rafferty. Boz Skaggs, Earth Wind & Fire, Poco....
Check them out! Some of the older stuff is so much better, in my opinion.
**I'm going to edit to include Van Morrison (Moondance guy), listen to Enlightenment, Avalon of the Heart, and Little River Band. Duran Duran, Ordinary World....New Young Radicals.....You only get what you give

You need to download some 80's hits. Even if you didn't grow up in that era, noone can deny its dancing/singalong power.
I'm a POTUS addict on Sirius. I'm also a Celtic addict on Pandora.
Imelda May. And more Imelda May.
She is an amazing, fun, talented singer. Blues/rockabilly/50s sort of retro. But all original songs. Her husband is her guitarist and he's pure genius. We listen to all kinds of music -- classical to brass bands to pop -- and this month we're totally Imelda, including my 10-year-old daughter! Try her. The latest album is called "Mayhem." Give someone new a try-- well, new to you, like she was to us. But she's been around for a while!
I've been listening to Queen. My husband put on the "Queen" channel on his Pandora in the car the other day which gave us some great Queen, Who, and Journey. I was excited since those are what I would have picked if I'd had the choice. :-)
My other go-to band is Barenaked Ladies. I'm still bummed they broke up.
Blue October!
Love that band...their CD 'Foiled' is great...every song on it is wonderful!
Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac
All American Rejects
Blondie
And movie scores. ( Anything John Williams, Hans Zimmer , or John Debney.)
Oh and my current wake up music is the music from the Disney World parade " Spectromagic"
I'm listening to the Travelling Wilburys station on Pandora.
Well, I like Bob, Bob and Paul...
I can't seem to stop listening to Band of Horses (their older album): http://www.amazon.com/Everything-All-The-Time/dp/B000YR3W...
HTH!
Dave Matthews is my all time favorite.
I LOVE Outlaw Country on Sirius and Jam On and The Bridge. The Grateful Dead channel also gets a lot of play. Give Outlaw a try - you would probably like it! As far as bands, I'm in love with My Morning Jacket and the Tea Leaf Green - their new album is great!
Currently listening to Talking Heads, Adele, Morcheeba, Black Keys and the Itals.
I love music and am pretty diverse in my choices. And I love my satellite radio because I can get anything at any time!
But on my iPod I have every thing from James Taylor, Billy Joel, Allison Krause to Black Eyed Peas, Usher, Zakk Wylder, Amos Lee, Jarrod Neiman, Blake Shelton, Jason Mraz, Adele, Rascal Flatts, Nickleback, Roger Daultry and the Who, Led Zepplin, Jack Johnson, Carrie Rodreguez, kd lang, Keith Urban, Bach, Vivaldi. . . . you get the picture. LOVE Music!!
My list could go on for pages, but it sounds like you enjoy singer/songwriters with a folkish angle. Check out Mumford and Sons – a really amazing freak-folk group, and The Mountain Goats, who are unique and fun. I've also really been loving the songs by The Arcade Fire, less folk, but thought-provoking lyrics and nice arrangements.
Blitzen Trapper
Josh Rousse
NEW Paul Simon...
Check those out, you may like :)
I love Rascal Flatts and the Zac Brown Band. I love Casting Crowns. I really love to listen to Il Divo - it is a group of 4 men that are operatic but I have a copy of them singing Amazing Grace with bagpipes and it is so off the chart!! Check it out here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYMLMj-SibU&ob=av2e - at 2:10 the bagpipes come in and it will give you goosebumps and at 2:57 WOW!! I have a very diverse taste in music - love country, church music, rock, dance, etc.
Definitely try Pandora if you can. It's free unless you use more than 30 hrs a month, or something like that. You plug in the name of a band you like ,and it creates a radio station for you. You can "like" or "dislike" songs which will make the station more specific to your taste.
Lately I've been listening to Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Perpetual Groove, My Morning Jacket to name a few. On Sirius I usually go between Sirius XMU (Indie rock), and JamOn (hippie jambands). Occasionally Lithium (if I want to re-live high school) or First Wave (for when I want to re-live the 80's).
THanks for asking this because I've enjoyed scrolling through to get recommendations from other moms!
I listen to 'Music Radio' on my computer, I like: Adult Alternative, Coffeehouse...On Sirius I listen to so many I can't even begin to mention them all...On my HDTV via Brighthouse I listen to Soundscapes in the morning & Lite Jazz or Rock during the day...I LOVE light classical @ times...as you can read I like music in general!
