It would be helpful if we knew what type of music he likes. If he likes rock, Sweet Child O Mine (Guns N Roses). Hero by Mariah Carey might be fitting. Greatest Love of All, Whitney Houston.
Does anyone have any suggestions for songs to go with a family video montage I am putting together for my husband on Father's Day? Picking the music is way harder than I thought it would be. It's going to be just pictures of my husband with the kids over the past 5 years. All the ones I'm finding are not appropriate b/c they are songs about kids that are all grown up (my kids are still toddlers) or they are country music which my husband cannot stand.
Thanks,

Louis Armstrong, "what a wonderful world"
I don't recall the artist, but there is a great country song called "my front porch looking in" that would be a great daddy song
israel kamakawiwo'ole "somewhere over the rainbow", it is so beautiful :)
Beautiful Day ----U2
For Good from "Wicked" Soundtrack
Time in a Bottle ---Jim Croce
This is the Time ---Billy Joel
Everything Grows---Raffi ---would be really cute to all the pictures of your children

Good Life ---One Republic
Although it's recently been overplayed and over-used in commercials, years from now when you watch the video, no one will remember or even care about that, and it's a really great song for your purpose.
Beautiful Boy--John Lennon
What a Wonderful World--Louis Armstrong
Whenever I See Your Smiling Face--James Taylor

Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Star Wars theme
300 theme song
The Best by Joe Esposito (from Karate Kid)
Good luck! I'm sure your husband will love it!
I would use your husband's favorite music. It doesn't really have to be family or kid themed as long as he likes it.
How about some instrumental music? Piano music by Jim Brickman and George Winston works well as background music. Some classical music sets off a slide show nicely. How about Beethoven's 5th?
The Times of Your Life....Paul Anka
You Are So Beautiful....Joe Cocker
I like Mercy me I can only Imagine it was playing on the radio when i went into labor with my son so it's special to me.
You are the sunshine of my life--stevie wonder?
Elizabeth mitchell--- three little birds
My oldest daughter and I did a video for my husband last year. I found a song on you tube called "Your my Hero" by Teresa James. Here's our's, I'm sure you can still find the song to download.

Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift
Seasons of love...not sure who sings it!
Hi A.,
If u haven't chosen a song yet, I would suggest These Are The Moments by Edwin McCain. Part of the lyrics that have always touched me:
And these are the moments, I thank God that I'm alive.
And these are the moments, I'll remember all my life.
I've found all I've Waited for,
And I could not ask for more.
Good luck with ur song choice! And let us know what u end up using. :)
"Time of Our Lives" by Tyrone Wells
"Cosmic Love" by Florence & the Machine
"Good Riddance" by Green Day
"Daughters" by John Mayer is a great one!! Also "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.
Does he have a favorite band or genre of music that would also bring out the nostalgia of his own childhood as well? How about "Bridge Over Troubled Water" I can't think of better lyrics for a parent to a child.... I get teary just thinking about it.
Beatles "Imagine"
Des'ree "You Gotta Be"
Luther Vandross "Dance With My Father" - sorta sad though...
