hello, my almost 13 month old still has no teeth? is this normal/ok? my daughter got her teeth at 4 months! thanks!!
The same thing happened to a friend of mine and then her daughter got them all at once. You can always take her to a pedriatric dentist if you are really concerned, but I am sure she will be fine.
My daughter is 14 months and still no teeth-- I too have been worried, but I really think it is ok. I have heard they have healthier teeth if they come late. Plus, I am still breastfeeding so I count my blessings!! I know what you mean though--- it does seem weird... oh well. my daughter has proven to do things her own way since birth... :) let me know if you find out anything...
Hi, J. - I am a dental hygienist and I have seen this many times. Please don't worry. It is EXTREMELY rare that a child literally has no teeth, or many missing. In my 32 years in practice, I have only seen it once. The average time for a first tooth is 6 months; that means some do it ealier and some do it later. Right? My daughters were totally different with their dental patterns. Good luck! N.

My son didn't get his teeth until well after he turned one. According to an older sister I was the same way. Unfortunately, a lot of his teeth decided to come in at the same time, but he was only cranky for a few days and we gave him Tylenol for the pain and he was fine. By the time he turned two he had all his teeth.
So don't worry they will come. ;0)
All children develop at a different rate, but I would definitely get a doctor's opinion about that, and get a referral to a pediatric dentist for advice. They can take x-rays and make sure that there are teeth up there and what is keeping them from descending. Good luck!
