My daughter took a course at the Y for a week and it included CPR. At the end of training they were given some sort of pass/fail test.
It worked for her.. She just has no time to babysit.

What about your local community hospital?
your ymca seems to have classes for that. http://www.ymcaerie.org/county/programs/ have her get certified through them and that would be a great start. then she can sign up here to advertise. http://babysitters.sittercity.com/profile/1323031.html good luck
I did the red cross babysitting course when I was about 10, it's really good. My parents found it by going to one of the local rescue squads, they were the ones that ran it, so try asking them. Also, if she is watching her siblings, maybe a good place to start is find one of your friends with younger kids so she can start off by being a mothers helper, while your friend is there, but busy with housework and stuff. Best wishes!
Pediatrician offices often have info on local courses or larger practices may offer a course themselves.
