M.D.
Like you, I am on currently on antidepressants and definitely feel as though my progress in overcoming PPD occasionally takes a backslide during PMS (in fact, more often than not). Certainly, hormonal fluctuations make a difference. Do your best to maintain some perspective during your cycles, remembering that occasional PPD regressions will occur, but will usually only last a few days; overall, you should continue to improve and eventually overcome PPD. However, you may also want to check with your doctor to discuss other anti-depressant medications. Perhaps you will see less drastic fluctuations in your mood and PPD symptoms on a different medication (or combination of medications).
