It's completely normal for a little one this age to want to be held the entire time they don't feel good. Please take her to the ER if you are truly this concerned.

You don't say how high the fever is. If it's running 100 and below that's not much of a concern to me. If it's running 103 and higher all the time then yes, I would take her to the ER and beg then to help.

If she's been and taking antibiotics then they are not likely the right ones. If it's viral then antibiotics might not help anyway.

If she has an ear infection ask them if they think it could be Pseudomonas in her ears. My granddaughter had that and there's only one antibiotic that kills that bug and gets it gone.

I would head to the nearest pediatric hospital and have her admitted with new sets of eyes on her. The weight loss is extra concerning.

I would take her to the hospital. That seems too long and does not seem normal to have a fever for that long.

Not sure what you are asking.

My kids were treated with antibiotics when they had ear infections.

How much weight is "so much weight"? That would concern me. How high is the fever over these past 2 weeks? I think a 2nd opinion might be in order, and perhaps from a children's hospital. But it would help to have more information - can you edit your question to add those details?

Take her to the children's hospital for a second opinion. Fever for two weeks doesn't seem normal.

Take her to your local children's hospital. They will figure it out. They always do!

There's a lot of viral stuff going around this winter. Everyone seems to be sick. Like really really sick. Hand/foot/mouth can cause a really high fever and they can't do anything except let it run its course while you give fever reducing medication around the clock. For the ear infection her mama should contact the doctor and get abx. If it didn't clear up in a couple days it won't and needs medication. Viral vs bacterial. Won't do a thing for the h/f/m but will clear up the ear infection.

I don't think the wanting to be held has anything to do with losing weight. When little ones get sick they just want to be held to be comforted. My youngest granddaughter is currently sick with a fever and since they live here I spend as much time as possible holding and loving on her.

How high are the fevers? It is possible, but concerning if it continuous. Antibiotics? At 2, this is unusual and may require further testing.
