Are you taking birth control? If so, it may be that. When I started using the Nuvaring I thought it was the best thing ever. Six months down the road I began to have bad migraines. I never suffered from headaches before. One night I had dizziness as if I had been drinking. I became sick and lightheaded. Someone metioned to me that it might be my birth control and so I stopped using it and I immediatley started feeling better.

Headaches can be a b vitamin deficiency(sp?). Especially if you are under stress because Stress uses up your b vitamin storages. I had a guy one time that had was having headaches so I let him have one of my vitamins and within an hour the headache was gone. I gave him more and they stayed gone. It won't hurt to try. If that helps some but you seem to need a little more help I'd add Salmon Oil. (The salmon oil also helps with blood pressure and has no undesirable side affects like the meds. I've known of people who get completely of the meds while using salmon oil and adjusting their diet.) And drink lots of water I've heard that helps with headaches.

Now all vitamins are not made equal I've discoved that the hard way. Go to gnld.com and I think you can find a local distributor through their website. If not contact me back and I will get you a web address of someone I know that will be glad to help you.

The diabetes theory is a good one. You can rule out migraines if it's just pain in your head. If it were a migraine, you'd be sensitive to light, nauseated, seeing spots, etc.

It could be what you're eating. If I eat a lot of processed and/or fried food, it takes a toll on me. Try eliminating fried stuff and anything with preservatives and see if that helps any. Good luck.

Hi S.,
About 7 yrs ago my husband was suffering from unbearable headaches, so bad in fact that (and this may sound silly but)his hair hurt. He could not stand being in the sun, because again that hurt his head. finally, got him to go and he was diagnosed a type II diabetes. since he has gotten his diabetes under control he very rarely has a headache, and if he does have one he knows that his sugar is out of whack and he knows he has to get it back to normal or his headache will turn into a sever migrain.
So If you havent been checked for it, this might eliminate a reason for the headaches besides stress!
good luck!

It very easily could be stress. What else would raise your blood presure like that? I think you really need to talk to your dr. about giving you something for anxiety. I have had a lot of friends that have been in the same situation, and once you take care of your anxiety problems you may find your self not only happier, but suffering far fewer headaches! Good luck!

I have been suffering from migranes since I was 3 years old. Through my teens, I stopped having them, but as soon as I got pregnant with my son, they started coming back. My doctor now has me on a medication called Topamax. I've been on it for 6 months now, and not 1 headache!! It is a preventative medication, not a treatment medication. Anyway, something that you might want to ask your doctor about! Good luck, I know how painful they are.

S.,

I suffer from headaches, too. I found a couple of things that really worked for me. First of all, I was wearing my hair very, very long. It was also very thick and, when my hairdresser commented that all that heavy hair might be causing headaches, I decided to cut it. I didn't have to go nuts with it, either. It was still long, but shorter than before. It worked!

The other thing that does wonders for me is Yoga. Yoga seems to fix everything. It brings a real sense of calm. When I do Yoga on a regular basis, I find that my headaches go away and I am much more stress free than when I don't do yoga.

Hope that helps.

Hi S., I went through this too and it was my blood pressure along with stress. I had to up my meds to twice a day and within a few days my headaches had pretty much stopped. I have migraines at that. I don't know what type of meds you are on but mine is called Atenolol and it works on blood pressure and migraines. You might want to talk to your dr and see if there is something else you can try.Good luck.

Hi S.,
I can understand the headaches.... You can have stress and not really know how bad it is.... I have had stress headaches for as long as 30 yrs now...LOL...dang I am getting old...j/k my headaches started when I got married(at 15 yrs old) and small things bothered me that I had no idea that even existed. You must have something that is really bothering you that you don't give much thought about..Something so small can bring on a stress headache in an instant. I really hope you find out what it is and fix it because I am now 43 and I still have them, when I find out what the problem is I get rid of it or fix it in a hurry. Hope this helps.
