Candy (to cook with sugar or syrup) Oops 2 syllables

Paige (seems to be the frontrunner)
Is she this unnecessarily crazy with other arbitrary "rules"!!?? LOL
**ETA Pearl? (Knit O., pearl two...)
SCOUT!!??
Floss?
RALPH???!!!!
My friend just found out she is expecting a girl (YAY!!) They are having a hard time coming up with names and they don't agree on any at the moment. My friend has this pattern that she is trying to follow (go figure) so I thought that I would help her out by asking all of you creative people out there. Her pattern is this... She wants a one syllable verb name with 5 letters. Her sons' names are Chase and Grant and she wants to follow the pattern if possible. She likes Paige but her husband doesn't at all. So that's it. Any suggestions for girl's names that follow those rules? Good luck!!
TIA!! :)
Added: I know! She is crazy but I love her! I am giving her the suggestions and the ones that follow 2/3 parts of the pattern too! My favs so far are Paige, Hope, Carie, and Raine. Keep 'em coming! I came up with Layne as in the baby was lain in her crib. I like that one and I love Grace too, but agree with the poster that says it rhymes with Chase and also starts with the Gr in Grant. That could be very confusing!

RALPH???!!!!
LOL... I am cracking up over here... FLOSS!? HAHAHA - someone said Floss; hilarious. The possibilities are endless!
Dance
Chuck - I think she should name her Chuck...
Grace (yes, it can be a verb)
Carry
Blush
Bloom
Charm
March
Marry
Scout
Storm
Or you could suggest she use herself as the namesake: Flake, Freak, Quack... I could go on, lol.
She came up with the pattern, it's up to her to come up with the name ; )
This makes my head hurt...lol I just hope they don't have any more children...no telling what they are going to come up with !!!!
She should look into ethnic names...would open up the possibilities and there are some wonderful names out there in the world!!
I looked at Spanish Names and just off the top of the list...
Adoria....means adoration ( hey...3 syllables not one...sorry!)
Cande ....means candle which CAN be a verb ( to candle) ok ok I am really stretching it here.
I just hope that they find a suitable name before the little one is ready to start school...this is going to be tough!! Please let us know what they decide on....I feel like we all have in investment in this process now
How about 'Jewel'? It's a verb (and a noun) and 5 letters.
1 : to adorn or equip with jewels
2 : to give beauty to as if with jewels : embellish
Check back on my post... It takes me a while to think sometimes. I might add more ideas.
Edit: I thought of Revel. Seen it as Revelle, but the English version should meet her criteria too.
What about Kerry or Kerri? The sound of the word is a verb, even though the spelling isn't. (Ok, I missed the one syllable part. I'm out of ideas.)
Maybe she could keep with the 5 letters, but move to nouns for girls. It would open up more options!
I do like patterns though. We know one family that named their sons Austin and Houston. We were wondering if Tyler was next! :)
Naming a child shouldn't be an obstacle course. There are so many pretty girls names and she's going to limit it to some silly and awful patterned theme? Poor little baby girl.
Bex: Hebrew, meaning "to tie"
Claire
Clea
Dawn
Fae: English, meaning "fairy"
Fleur
Gwynne
Joy
Máire
Niamh/Neve
Ruth: friend
How is Paige a verb? ("Page" can be a verb, so I'm guessing there's some liberty with spelling?)
Faith
Grace
Rayne ("rain")
I like a challenge, I'll think about it some more and see if I can come up with more.
Carol
Piper
One of my favorites (hubby hated!) is Sloan. I like Paige too, it's my daughters middle name.
How about S.?
:)
(I really like the name Paige).
The verb part is going to be tough.
I really like the name Paige too.
Faith or Hope
So I just realized Hope isn't 5 letters. Sigh....
This is hard!
Baise (I dont think its a verb though)
Flute
Hayes (Haze)
Baile (pronounced Bail)
Tripp
Grace
Soren (Soarin')
Robin (Robbin')
Terri (Tarry-to delay or wait)
This was kinda hard lol..some of the names are kind of silly, but hey..most of them follow all the rules :)
GL to your friend!
Stone
Faith
Hope
Rose
May
Raine
How about Bette (like Bette Midler)?
All I could think of is Starr. This is hard! How in the world did she think up this rule??? LOL
I just had a baby girl four months ago and I named her Rayne Rianna. I really love her name, but when I first told people they always gave me this look when I said Rayne.
However, I went with it anyway and I am glad that I did. Now that she is here and I tell people her name they usually say "Wow, that is a beautiful name."
I would go with Rayne! :)
Isbel
Nikki
Bella

Not sure how to name kids as verbs lol so these probably aren't verbs.
Why not Grace--or Karis which means 'grace' in Greek/Hebrew (2 syllables) but might work! You'll have to let us know what she picks...And I thought my 9 letter first name for my 3rd boy would be a toughie!
GL
How about Faith? I know it is not a verb, but it's still pretty. I like Grace too, except that it rhymes with Chase. And I also like Paige.
I love Paige. It's my daughters name.
Hmm...maybe for the female sex we could go with a FOUR letter pattern. Super easy there; Hope, Drew, Pace, Dawn, Trip, etc
<grin> or and entire step sideways and have it be FIVE letters TWO syllables NOUN; Piper

A verb... that's the tough part! My son is trying to brainstorm. So far
Dream and Grace
Teach --she could grow up and work in a pre-school and be known as Miss Teach. ;-)
Nurse -- she could become Nurse Nurse
My son's name is Rayne, and Raine is the feminine version of that, so that would be my pick.
Chance - oh, wait 6 letters, um, ok, um
Shine (lol)
http://www.writeexpress.com/action-verbs.html has lists of verbs so that might help
http://teflgames.com/PVCSample.pdf is another list, more pages though as it's alphabetical
Scout
Taylor
Blair
Okay, sounds a little cheesy, but it follows her rules. Cloud or Dream?
I haven't read the other posts, so I don't know if this name has come up yet...Grace
I am partial to Paige myself, but I'm liking Hope and Rose that were mentioned below.
Oh wait...five letters? Seriously?
I too love Paige! And maybe she'd like that grace is a combo of grant and chase. I also like carie or Kerri, Laine or layne, Sloan, faith, and a new one..Court!
holy cow, a verb??? I think your ideas are great, love Raine and Hope.
I like Brynn, Bell, Faith, or Scout that others mentioned. I can't come up with any under those restricitons. Is her husband in on this too?
Brynn
Clare

Oh shoot! I missed the part where it has to be a verb! I am a dunce.
