need someone Mon & Tues. 8-5:30 starting in Jan for my two young boys (with a possibility of a few hours Wed & Fri. afternoons with pick-up.).

Can anyone recommend how to find someone for this or any great agencies you've used? What is the average fee for placement at an agency?

If there are any great websites where we don't have to do too much legwork that would be great - at this point, I'm almost ready to just pay someone to find me someone wonderful!! IT's soooo timeconsuming to use some sites, like gonannies - wading thru matches, calling with prelim interview questions, background check possibilities and then the interviews.....whew! Hints on how to make it easier would be most appreciated.

Thanks!!

What can I do next?

I went through care.com and found a great nanny. I put my ad up with exactly what I was looking for, and then put together a generic email with all of my preliminary questions. When ever I got a response that I thought might be a fit, I'd send out the questions, and I was able to narrrow it down quite quickly.

You could also post an ad on CL...its free.

If you are ok with a in home childcare check the state of Texas website under child and family. They have a listing there of the home childcare facilities- you can search by zip code and then just call them to find out if they will work out for you. The registered homes are inspected by the state and required to keep state standards. Hope this helps!

You can try Care.com, SitterCity.com or GoNannies.com.
I have not used these personally but know others you have used them for Nannies or babysitters.

Good luck in your search.
