Hello,
I have a friend looking for a nanny in Flower Mound, TX. She is trying Care.com but not getting any good responses....does anyone have any resources to share??? Her son is around the same age as mine - 13-14 months and they want somone from 9:30 -5:30 until March (after the flu season) when they will enroll the LO in Montessori school so then the nanny will be needed from 12:30 - 6:30.
They want someone reliable with good common sense, experience being a nanny to a toddler fluent in English and willing the drive the child to some classes............
Thanks!!!!!!!

Place ads in local papers, grocery store, local papers that cater to immigrants. Look up local childcare agencies.

Try the local community colleges and universities. If they have an Early Childhood Development degree tract you have students working on becoming teachers, most with nanny and babysitting or preschool experience already.

If they are willing to pay a decent wage, then they should just post an add in the job section with Monster jobs or with career builder. They just need to realize that there are tax keeping requirements and that being an employer is not an informal relationship.

We found our first nanny through The Nanny Agency, but you do have to pay a fee. She was excellent and very experienced . . . but her experience came with a price we couldn't afford long term. Our second nanny we found through Craigs List! She was wonderful and it was sad when we let her go once our little one started attending preschool (couldn't afford both preschool and a nanny!). She's actually coming for a visit today . . . our little one is so excited to see her again!
